QLD North (west) cruise

Nice if we stayed together though.

I had to make a phone call to get directions for us last 4 or so cars, as you guys were out of radio range.
So much for not losing sight of the car behind.

We had 3 slow cars (non-zeds) in front of us, one behind the other so very few opportunities to pass.

 

I wasn't in front the whole way, I was the 2nd car behind you!
I think the white 370 was in front of me, and behind you. You weren't too bad when you slowed right down so we could get some distance infront for a squirt but you were still slow.

You were up the front (where I usually am, as Rob's sticky date!) so it was ok for you.

 

I remember years ago where there was a briefing on cruse etiquette before the set off. I don't think some of the newer cruze participants know about the "keeping the car behind in view". Perhaps a reminder next time would avoid loosing cars.

 

Yeah.. sorry for slowing you guys down on the nice twistys on the way down but my engine monitor was going nuts, the oil pressure sensor decided to come loose and i was getting readings between 60psi and -600psi with red lights flashing and warning buzzers going off. Came good after we got through the really twisty bits.

That's fairly crazy...! Normally when my stomach feels like its suddenly been shafted to the back seat when you're already doing the same speed as everyone else I figure I'm... well yeah it was fun

I think I need to upgrade my speedo too...

 

great picks the zeds look awsome in the sunlight and targas off I have forgotten how they look its been so long since we had warm weather lol

AHAHAHA MIKE, dont say that...i think that is baron's car. i pointed it out to him ages ago but i think i sounded mean when i said it was upside down. he isnt going to rotate it the other way so dont bother pointing it out

 

yeh i said a bit of smoke was rising from his bonnet when we stopped at the lookout and he gave me a dirty look. it was probs just the chrome heated up.

This was my first cruise and I had a absolute blast of a time!!

I was originally from Dubbo in NSW but now i'm living in Brisbane on SOuth Bank going to QUT.


Anyways, I had a blast, it was good to put faces to names, and see all those beautiful Z's cruising through the mountains :zlove:
