Think it's an actual CD file, so you need to trick your computer in thinking it has the CD installed.

    Try something like this

    http://www.winmount.com/mount_isz.html

I'm up the central coast at the moment with no computer, back around Thursday, if you have no luck Rob, I'll have a play and let you know.

    Thanks

Sent an email and got a reply, its all about the amount of cars sold :( and the z32 just doesn't make the cut. Not sure we will ever see one but at least we have this forum. Just the same really except it talks back haha

Hi Erik, my Aussie '95 came with its original dealer pouch with Nov.'94 edition user manual, service log book, etc. The user manual is about half a million pages of course but happy to scan if no one's already found an online version of the RHD user manual. The 12/97 came with the same but 100% Japanese text throughout...

I got this going this afternoon, though I haven't been able to get my zed vin to work with it so far, I've been able to get my patrol vin to work

After downloading all the files, you need to first extract the files, I used a trial version of WinRAR to do this. Next download the trial version of Daemon tools http://www.daemon-tools.cc/downloads I used the "Daemon tools pro Advanced 5". You now have all the tools needed to use FAST. In the list of files extracted will be a text file with the instructions on how to get it all working, which isn't very hard!

    From the text file;

1)Mount the iso with daemon tools

To do this, open the Daemon Tools program and in the top left corner click the tab "actions", select "mount" and open the location of your file FAST.isz

2)Go to (Mounting Drive/decompress directory) NISSAN\FASTPRG\WIN2000\SETUP and launch setup.exe to install the base program of nissan fast

In the bottom window of Daemon Tools should be your Nissan FAST iso, click on it to open the folder and open the executable file listed in the location above.

3)Go to your installed directory and run Nfset.exe Go to cd-rom setup and select drive1 and set it to the "NISSAN" directory in the iso you mounted/decompressed. Do the same with drive-2 and set it to "INF-ALL" and with drive-3 and set it to "AR-JP". Press ok

My computer, C drive, NISSAN file should be sitting there with the other files, follow the location instructions.

4)Run Nissan menu for the start menu or Nfmenu.exe in your install directory

I selected AR when it first started, don't worry though as you can switch regions from the home page. Just need to find out what all the regions mean now:)

Cheers mate got it running at last :D

Can't get my Z VIN to work either. I went to JP and used the VIN from my rego sticker, but I wonder if that's an Aussie VIN that was issued as part of compliance or something? I'll have to poke around under the hood and see what I can find...

Damn! Doing my homework Ive discovered why Ive never had much help from Nissan parts; I don't have a genuine Z32 VIN! So how the hell do I discover what the original vin number was?

Ok I've finally had some success. I've found My VIN is an Australian issued vin number so doesn't work with the FAST system (needs to be a vin starting with JN1 which mine does not), but selecting area JP (wont work in AR) and using the model number from the original silver factory plate I got an extra screen that asks for a vin number, so I tried the 6 digit number from the chassis number on the plate and had success bringing up my cars details! I've been guessing my car was a 92 model for years and now I know that it is a November 92 model.

Don't bother with WinRAR - it isn't free.

On the other hand, 7Zip is, and will unzip RAR and ZIP and TAR etc.

I believe the way to do it is to create a 32 bit VM and run it in there.

If this doesn't make sense to you, then you probably shouldn't be looking at building VM's anyway.

I have 64 bit win7 version working, this forum (http://forums.gtrcanada.com/general-skyline-discussion/58800-nissan-fast-2010-a.html) helped alot with info on how to set the program up without cd emulators (daemon tools) etc, but I downloaded from a different place as the links are dead, I would be happy to Donate the files to the forum and do a write up of how I installed my version, (compiled from 3 different sources and covers all markets with parts master working and english descrptions in jdm diagrams) if there is a need for it. I had trouble getting english decriptions in the jdm diagrams but managed to work around this with cds from different sources
parts master can cross reference a single part number between all different models.
Contact me if I can help :)

Look here for the ISZ files. http://www.file-extensions.org/isz-file-extension

I believe the whole DVD was copied and these files are used to recreate the Disc.

    Isn't google wonderful?????

The Haynes manuals are horrid turds compared to factory service manuals. Include helpful steps such as "Remove gearbox by removing bolts" and "assembly is the reverse of disassembly".

You need to mount the Fast.isz file as a virtual CD to complete the installation.

You can use the trial version of winmount (not the free version). The trial version of winmount will work for 15 days.

Once you have installed winmount then double click on the file Fast.isz. It will then appear as a virtual cd. Assuming the virtual CD is drive Z then you would run the program Z:\nissan\fastprg\win2000\setup\setup.EXE to install Fast on your computer.

If you don't want to use winmount to mount the CD each time you run fast then you can copy the contents of the virtual CD to directory on your computer. eg C:\Nissan_CD

These are the installation instructions that came with the download.
