Dont do it, they suck, get a quote from tempe tyres in Sydney, Kumho KU31's they are a GREAT tyre, I have pushed them extremly hard around the old pac a lot of times and they ALWAYS gripped really well, AWESOME price too like $200 each on 18's and thats 275's also so with your sizes should be dirt cheap.

Yep, i'm on the KU31's. They're a good tyre and i recommend them. As Dino said before they're very comparable life span as the Nexen 3000's - but i'd have to say i (personally) think they have a bit better grip than the Nexen 3000's particularly in the wet. (i've had both types of tyres on my Zed)

Only problem these days is the Nexen 3000's are a discontinued tyre now, and being able to buy them is getting harder as you're only able to get them from stockists that have them in stock or in their warehouses, but they aren't getting manufactured any more. :(

    *edit*
Just to answer a question earlier about the KU31's, i have personally gotten approximately 17,000km's out of my tyres on the rear which now need replacing, and my fronts still have probably 50% of tread at this point which i'm very happy with to be honest.

Too late..I got the Nexens, I'm sure they will be fine..compared to all the dodgy tyres I've ever had :)...Plus I have an NA, so I'm not crazy on power lol..

Sorry I was referring to the MA-V1s everyone is talking about...

V8 has been on hold for a while coz of work and uni, but I have annual leave coming up and exams finish soon ;)

I got a set of Maaxi Z1's earlier this year for $120 ea for stock rims 225x16. Have found them good. No noticable road noise, no tyre sqeal on hard cornering and good grip in wet and dry. There are probably other tyres that will outlast them, but at the price they are good. I'll get another set next time.

Hi to all, just joined up and finding the wealth of info and help here amazing.....I am on my second set of Fulda Exelero 225/50 R16. They're around $700 a set but unfortunately they might not be available any more so am reading all this for the best tyres to replace too. I'm a "fairly" sedate driver most of the time and have found the Fuldas very grippy in wet or dry conditions and wear is good too...so far about 30-40K.
    They are directional as well.
