Don't really care either way about UAS or TwinZ Designs business practices, but these long arguments make it really hard to find info on the thread topic.

You will note in the summary to the right a list of the races of people who inhabit the country known as Peru, they are:

Mestizo (76%)

White (6%)
Asian (1%)
Black (1%)
Mulatto (1%)
Other (1%) (self-reported)

As it has now been established that there is no race that goes by the name "Peru" or "Peruvian", refering to Peru in the previous post cant be rascist as there is no race by that name.

My take on this thread, its well know how the UAS and Twin Z operate these deals, the pro's and pit falls are well know and have been proven by experience through deals similar to this in the past, no one is under any illusions and we are all big boys. If participants are fully informed and prepared to take the risk then so be it.

Just wondering though if UAS are required to hold these deposits in a trust account? some business's are required to keep unearned revenue (ie monies held by a business that they havent earnt through completing there end of the deal) im not sure where the line is drawn, but i know motor dealers, lawyers, accountants, real estate agents, stock brokers, insurance business's need to have them. I know UAS acts as an agent when consigning cars for sale, not sure if they have a motor traders licence?

I've run my own business for longer than you have been alive, and in that time I've never received or asked for an up-front cash advance, ever. The fact is no one in my position gets paid until certain progress stages are met and signed of. Sometimes this takes weeks, running into 90 days in some instances (goverment) In the mean time I'll be out of pocket by quite a substantial amount, inculding wages paid every week to those I have on the books at the time. But thats alright, because I know and trust firstly my employees, and second my employers, who you tend to form solid relation ships over the years. Some are friends I've known all my life, so problems have been few and far between, back to tzd.

Their process depends on shopped images and promises of parts delivered at some vague undefined future time, they did nothing to build an acceptable business image off themselves when they first posted in FSBB(and by association there collaborators) by insisting on ridiculous minimum part quantity's, topped of with a 50% deposit, and a glacial work ethic, this is the price we for cyberspace parts, parts that don't in reality exist in physical form, at all, at the time, but may appear at some indeterminate future date.
Common sense prevailed when the deal was unceremoniously shown the door, for the above,and other reasons. Its not completely shut, and shouldn't be because they have had the odd good idea. Peru is up far north on the west coast of south america, about 13 thousand ks odd from us here in australia, crating up full size bars or any larger pieces for shipping to oz was always going add up, I think many experienced members here would know that, and except the costs involved as the norm for such large pieces, all be it bulk shipped. The problem is that tzd have no product, nothing to sell us at all, except window dressing, and that attracts a 50% deposit. It's analogous to those gorgeous scantily clan window washers that seem to slide all over the wind screen in a wash of bubbles and froth. The view from the drivers seat is lovely, you give them a little change, they smile, the light turns green, you move on with a short lived vision, it's just you and woody then , neither last.

 

So Mike, why are you so intent on destroying someone else's dreams or opportunity to become successful(why are you so derisive of an individual pursuing a plan to bring his dream to fruition)sour grapes, perhaps?

Not one word about the quality of the products coming from this manufacturer, WHY(perhaps because they have proven to be excellent so far)?

If this Peruvian dreamer wasn't using UAS as an Australian contact, we would not be hearing from you(which would be a Godsend).

Peru is not a race refer back to wikipedia. And here is another tid bit for you. Japanese is not a race.. the vast majority of Japanese are infact a race called Yamato (something like 98-99%) Link

FYI both those tid bits i didnt research for this posting, I have know the above for some time, just like i can diffentiate between nationality and race, its the kind of warm and fuzzy stuff taught to us whipper snappers born in the late 70's early 80's when the White Australia policy was official over and fear of the yellow peril subsided.

As I clearly don't, I will simply consider it to be yet another pathetic attempt on your part, to insinuate total fantasy in to being something factual(or, to the ravings of a demented twit).
Perhaps you can enlighten us as to why I would feel "desperation" about the plight of a complete stranger(in Peru)trying to get a market for his products here in Australia(which is, I suggest, the actual TOPIC of this thread)?

I am bemused by the fact that you appear to keep a dossier on my life(although it is clearly not kept up to date).
What relevance does one of my areas of past employment(20yrs of a 70 year period, thus far)have to do with this current thread? Have we now entered the phase of "Mine is BIGGER than yours"?
Why does it seem to you, that my employment history has any part to play in whether I am allowed to have an opinion on your frequent attacks on anyone who ever had any association with UAS?
The world must look very blurry from the perspective from which you view it.
I will give you one additional bit of information that you may find valuable, it doesn't matter one iota what you may have done in the past, it's all about how you cope with the present(when and if, you ever get there).

 

You're correct Rob, I keep overestimating the IQ of some of our readers(and their motivation).
A somewhat forlorn exercise, it would seem.

 

It's not really for me to be saying anything but the crap is getting to me like I'm sure that it is to a majority of readers.

Perhaps those 'for' can put their money where there mouth is and those 'against' can maybe let it go before this thread gets locked, leaving people with genuine interest unable to make pertinent comment or question.
