Is that an inside joke?

Guess if you want a quality kit like these, we need big $$$ hence we don't see hot widebody Z's around.

TwinZ make us the Beet kit :D or the phat maroon Z kit please!! :zlove:

You're front bar looks a bit like a hobo with his teeth punch out of his mouth :p

A previous member set up a group buy for the beet kit then promptly disappeared with everyones money when his business hit a bad patch.

OT, not really a fan of the styling on the front bar twinz but I'm sure like your other pieces the quality will be top notch!

So many enterprises start out with wealthy investors(and wind up bankrupt). Why is it surprising to find someone attempting to start out from nothing and build a successful enterprise by providing quality workmanship and product. This is not the first business that uses a "built to order" style of manufacture.
Take off your blindfold, there's a real World out here.:br:

    The real

world is where the buyer parts with cash and gets what ever he/she was after and leaves with it. If anyone feels the need to invest in tzd thats up to them.If tzd needs working capital to fund there operation they should do what everyone else dose, see a lender, and then produce something ready to sell.

Tzd in tandem with uas have already shown a greedy and appalling lack of business sense in a fsbb post where they stipulated a minimum of 20 orders per piece, a 50% up front deposit, with no deposit refunds, a long waiting period while they made the parts, and no guarantee's of receiving an undamaged or other wise pristine part, not to mention the shipping costs involved from peru to australia, and then from nsw to the rest of the buyers around the country.

"Why is it surprising to find someone attempting to start out from nothing and build a successful enterprise by providing quality workmanship and product"

The only surprising point is your willingness to see others furnish a load of peruvian backyards, with australian dollars, who haven't got the balls to actually go ahead and produce a product that is for sale.

Your real intent in this thread is to re-ignite your agenda against UAS and anyone else you can embroil in your shit-stir.
There are countless instances of GB's and other transactions on this forum(and elsewhere)that involve "up front" payments. All of my CHILI Brace transactions were carried out in that manner(because people wanted the item, and I couldn't afford to finance it at that time). No one took exception to that at the time(or since)but according to you, it is not acceptable. Tell that to the 200+ members who purchased a Brace.
Your reference to "peruvian backyards" is nothing short of a racist slur(and has no place in this thread as it is off topic). What does it matter what Racial background the items manufacturers might have?
90% of the stuff you and I purchase is made outside of Australia(and has to be shipped to the end user)or was your Z32 made here?

If these items were made in NZ, your comment would have seen instant action from a Moderator, how fortunate you are.

Lloyd, were your chili braces done for proffit?

Not my personal profit(but all the fittings/welding/Polishing and subsequent Postage)was most definitely involving profit to the businesses with whom I dealt.
Your attempted coupe has little relevance, Mike(because there has never been any suggestion that this manufacturer was offering a "non-profit" item for sale)'made-to-order' or otherwise. :zlove:

So lets say for a moment, I have a design thats incredibly awesome, everyone wants one. If they pay a deposit up front I can get the item to them within 3 months. If not, they have to wait 12 months for me to get my shit together and finance it off my own back.

So less risk to me and faster turn around for customers is the wrong way to do it, what I should do is increase MY risk and make everyone wait longer than needed so I can put myself at said risk.

I take it you've never pre-ordered anything ever. Go in to EBGames and pre order a collectors edition and tell them you refuse to pay a deposit or wait the 6 months for the game to come out. Let me know how that works out for you.

Nobody is forcing your hand, if you think it's "bullshit" then simple - dont pay it, wait until they ARE made then buy one then. Just realise you will be smack bang at the end of the line behind all the people who paid pre-order...which is essentially what this is, just pre-ordering.

And you pay $600-$1000 for a front bar that doesn't exist yet, and the company in Peru goes bust (or runs off with your cash), or the shipping boat sinks, or the shipping company goes under, or UAS burns down and insurance isn't covered.

Then where are you left standing?

Why as a customer, should you be made to hold all the risk when all the manufacturer and supplier takes the profits for nothing?

It should be the supplier (the one who makes profit for nothing) or the manufacturer that share the overheads and fight about who pays what amongts themselves, not bass the BS on to us.
