    Dear Martin,

Get a bigger screen or GTFO. :p

    Love,
    Emile

(Pet hate is small pictures. If I want it smaller, super easy to re-size in Firefox. If I want it bigger, can't really do that if the picture was shit to start with... Oh and they are resized, originals are 18MP, 5184x3456. These are resized to 1575x1050. I'm happy with that on a 22" screen @ 1680x1050 resolution :))

  2. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

I have the same resolution and screen, doesn't fit. and think of the people on laptops...

Update: Mungyz Spec Pipes are in!

Firstly, got word from my Block builder, the bottom end is all balanced, assembled and waiting to be picked up. Just trying to get a hold of my Head builder who also should be finished. :D:D

Now... finally got my hands on em! Mungyz Spec Pipes!... BIG thank you to Glenn for these exceptional pieces of work. :D:D:D

Edging closer and closer... taking 18 days off work after next week to put all the pieces together and get her back onto the road. :zlove:

Still looking to upgrade my injectors before putting on the rollers. No point of having her dyno'ed with stock ones... :(

So do it? Grab some JECS 555CC and we'll install them one afternoon. Should have told me earlier, could have bundled yours with my packages from Coz.

You got Nistune or at least a socketed ECU?

    They're $475. Start saving!

And Nistune? Awesome. So you're set in that department.

Shhhh not tooo much hype mate - lets wait and make sure they fit your car :eek:

I now have a back up plan in place that should see you sorted within three or four days worst case scenario if the worst should happen and they absolutely will not fit no mater what. A man with your skills and contacts should see them go in with no fuss though :D

I STILL don't have a set of these on my own Z - need to get on to that and dyno for results.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted :D

That looks like great work and you can really see a massive difference in some of those pipes. I hate to say it, but yours is definitely bigger than mine.......and blacker too ;)

    I just lost it...

    Hahahahahahaha!

On topic, yep, even in those shots I didn't capture a lot, I didn't realize they weren't coming out well till after I pulled them to my computer. I might take some better ones during the day later.

    Update: Block is back

So I picked up the Block today, everything has been balanced, then assembled. Should be getting the Heads back in the next day or so.

Sorry for the lame phone camera picture, just had time enough to go pick it up and come back home... damn night shifts!

Block will be given a nice coat of Black VHT paint next day I have off. My Dad is helping out and started sanding down and prepping parts of the Engine Bay for the respray.

    Mmm, forged goodness...

    Appreciate the sentiments guys! :)

At first it was just because I wanted to get in and out just so my Dad wouldn't get on my ass about having the Zed parked smack in the middle of the backyard and constantly using his tools, not to mention the GF getting upset I'm spending FAR too much time on this thing. But now, I'm trying to get it sorted out and back on the road asap as I will be starting a new job soon, probably around January, and before I even do that, I have a number of short courses I need to take prior. Courses should take about 1-2 months so I can't afford to have this drag on into December, because if it does, I have no idea when I'll ever be able to put her back on the road, hence the speed of the build.

Sadly though, this is why the Interior job has been shelved for the time being. But absolutely, it will get done too, just need to sit down in a few months time and work out when.

Anyhow, by all predictions, the current job should be complete by the last week of November (taken 18 days off from work starting 22nd Nov till 9th Dec to make sure). Can't really see anything worse then Chassis Rail damage in the future to slow me down even further so yea, staying positive (and stubborn lol) to get it done by then. :D

Will be throwing a mini-BBQ for those interested on the day the Engine goes back in and I turn the key for the first time. Don't have a date yet, but will put it up soon as I pick one. Either way, I'll be recording it on ze DSLR, so you can all share my awesome victory or humiliation as it cranks over and nothing happens, lol. :p

Won't be much longer now... :br:

    Update: Engine Bay Repairs Continue

So I haven't laid a finger on it in a week. Pulled 8 12-Hour shifts in a row, ready to lynch myself, but on the bright side, tonight is my last night and I'm expecting a very fat paycheck in little over a week's time.

My Dad in the mean time has been spending the odd hour here and there helping out and had time to take a few quick Phone Camera shots before I rushed off to my last shift tonight. From what I could see, hes straightened up a lot of miscellaneous bent pieces which were never properly fixed after this Zed's accident, plus a mixture of rust repair / removal, some putty and sanding down work. Very thankful for his help.

Once its done, the plate should look almost invisible to the untrained eye.

And the rust damage is about 95% gone. Still a little bit of work needed, then the full respray to come.

Quite happy with the progress considering this is what it looked like before I touched it.

Starting tomorrow morning I have 3 and a half days off, 4 more shifts, then 18 days off to power through the remainder of this build to the finish line. :)

    Update: Gearbox Internals + Surprise

Swung by yesterday to check on my Dad's friend who is taking care of Gearbox. Basically just asked him to look it over to make sure its in good condition and if necessary replace anything that needs to.

Consensus is the Box is in good condition, the only thing that needs replacing is the Bearing you can see in the housing in pictures 2, 3 and 4. Other then that, no work needs doing and he won't be tearing it down any further. :)

    Update: Secret Number 1

This is one of a few secrets I didn't mention until I had the thing in my hands. Most that know me, know how much I have drooled over this particular Wing for years, first seeing it on a random Black Zed for sale, which was bought (only the Wing) by another member here and until then, to my knowledge, has been the sole owner of one of these in Australia... until now. ;)

Delivery guy was a few days earlier then expected and given my mood this morning I don't think anything else could have picked it up except for this...

BIG thanks goes to Martin (Anti) for finding it one night while doing his usual trolling through Yahoo! Japan Auctions lol (get well soon mate, you have to come by and see this thing in person!). After cleaning the mess all over my laptop that night at work I set about buying it. Few weeks later, its now sitting in my house. :D

Please excuse the state my baby is in, shes been sitting out there unwashed and in the elements for a couple of months now, but I couldn't help myself...

    Yes, its huge...
