I never considered entrying this as something to show off my car i dunno i figured it was more for showing off the forums in a stand. But if people on here feel so upset for some1 like myself to entry a car show to respresent our cars then ill do nothing of the sort and no partipate any kind of show. I appreciate the offer wykzed but im afriad the comments ive gotten for myself has put me off all car shows all together. The same way it makes those commodore drivers look like complete tools. Are you sure you're even old enough to drive an automobile? I swear i was taught in year 8 sex ed that period was a woman's issue? Hmm maybe you're lacking a bit of grey matter, could explain why you want to enter stock cars in a car show. Qoate? If i saw any car that was beat up i would not think "oh i underestimate that car" i would think "damn that car is a poor example." I don't see too many beat up 300zx's on the road, the main gripe people have with the zed is that they are slow and heavy boats. Having a standard car sitting there won't change their opinion on that. People see nice, well maintained cars at other events, not events that are SUPPOSED to be full on like the auto salon. So like i mentioned before, say it will be show and shine not so people stop underestimating the zed. Did your mother never teach you not to lie? Why should i have bought a VL? If they are only stock then they DONT BELONG THERE. If you dont want to hear anyone's opinion dont post up on a public forum Like i said, something like that is fair enough but not a bog stock car.. People will look at your car and go hmm that's nice. Probably under the upfront and truthful catergory with a pinch of rude thrown in there to get my point across. I don't know how you can get by in life if you cant handle criticism, if someone says your ugly for example in real life do you cry this much?
How about this. If anyone here wants to enter, then they should. Its up to the individual to make up his mind and if he/she has any brains at all, a forum wouldn't change their mind. Its all good to have an opinion but others reading those replies shouldn't take them to heart. I think it would be a good experience for anyone to enter AutoSalon and see what its like. Maybe their gonna get the mod bug and next year their car would get better and better. On the other hand, they might see its a total waste of time and money getting your car on a stand if you have nothing to SHOWOFF. I might enter. Then again, I might not...ITS UP TO ME!!!!!
so why would you come and laugh at the zed stand without knowing what cars are going to attend? all in all i dont give a rats nut. im going to the autosalon with j3t spd. hopefully we get like minded zedders with a true passion and a nice street car. as i said i agree. original doesnt belong, kkeep it for a nissan show day.. now im hungry.
I think you should enter the dyno runs :zlove: Becuase there was going to be some bog stock cars there that i wanted to laugh at. If those cars aren't there, i will come to admire the other ones. Would be good to see what your car looks like when done :zlove:

Thats ok mate, your fist must be a mess and yes, iam a year 8 student in a sex eduation class, and i already on a Z (which isnt exactly stock mind you). I am doing well also, it doesnt matter if you see a beat up car and say to your self that the car is just beat up... ive seen to many people diss the Z and say there mates car is battered, breaking down whatever. maybe they will see that the Z can look immac just in its sleek form and maybe they can speak to owners and get a drivers opinion on a maintained Z. about the whole show and shine thing, your attempt at having a crack at me was bloody lame. obveyously if they see a nice, clean Z there, and if we can arrange, a modified Z, then people will see the "heavy boat" as you put it can become a feather weighted rocket (almost ) If they are stock, they may not FIT IN amoungst the other heavily modified cars but whos to say they dont belong. and it looks like your the one crying mate, just because aazn or adamzx wanted to put their cars in, your having a fit. go get your mother to teach you some manners, so next time you want to get a poiint across, you wont throw that "pinch of rude" in there. and buy a VL and leave the Z alone, you dont deserve it. :zlove: p.s sorry my spelling isnt the best, im year 8

we all sound like f**ken tools argueing over which members are going to enter.. personally i say if they hae the guts to enter a stock zed good on em. but be prepared to cop flak for it. as its technically not a show car. im going to be there. j3t spd will be.and maybe a few of my mates.. whether we have a 300zx association logo/banner is up to the mods really and if they want us representing the club with logos, or we can be private members its up to them. anyways stop the shit boys. at the end of the day we are all zed lovers. witha passion so lets move on yeah? rod.

Wykked has posted about the Berri Street Machine Show in SA - I was there 4 years ago, and yeah, its a good show, a good time, and a good drive to get there and back. Recommended. I will do it again one day - maybe next year. Has all types, mild, wild, stock, custom, restored, old, new, doof doofs, power nuts, Oz, Jap, Yank, Euro, ......... Another Melbourne based option is the annual NDSOC concourse - this year it will be held at Southbank, Sunday Nov 30th I think. Also good fun, and a meeting of Nissan/Datsun owners of all sorts. If my motor rebuild is done and dusted and the car is running I intend entering that again this year. I'm quite proud of my trophy for 2nd place Z32 in 2006.
guys relax.. different shows are made for different things.. y u think there are shine and shows then there is autosalon? there is a massive difference.. autosalon is where you go to show people whats new... whats unique that can be done... while shine and show is more like ive got a really well maintained car.. its in perfect conditon... u think a hotted up show car in a shine and show will get as much attention as it would in autosalon? people go to autosalon to see hotted up cars and see what can be done.. whats new... - they dont expect to go to autosalon to see stock cars... like some members where saying before... they go to autosalon and are really pissed when they see a full stock car with rims... thats just not on...
comes down to one thing.. would i want to pay money to go see stock jap cars i see every day on the road.. no
lol Can't believe i missed this thread Stop the b***hing seriously, with so much arguing im confused who's entering and who's not, at the end of the day its up to the person who's organising all of it, it is them who puts the name down and forwards it to Alisa the championship manager The whole debate about stock zeds entering, im not going to comment, its different entering as a club for a start than entering individually, for a start speaking from personal experience, the club rules are not as strict in terms of mods than if u were entering individually, i mean look at AK's this year, it was out there, perfect for an individual display, as a club were not saying all cars need to be modified to hell and have 7 TV screens lol, its about promoting the club after all yes? Like Josh said in other posts elseware, i believe in some basic mods like rims, maybe a kit or 1/2 a kit, whatever, i mean the dihatsu's at this years Perth salon, some were VERY BASIC, but they still entered to promote the club, they had a good time and thats what the event is about, public advertising for the forum So basically imo, whoever is organising the event should dictate the criteria, imo the more cars the merrier, to a certain extent Autosalon was great fun for us 2 years ago, and im pretty sure we'll all have a ball next year entering again If u need any help regarding the event or have any questions PM me

Get over it and just enjoy your Z, who cares what other people think...if entering it in the Autosalon is what you want to do then do it...no ones stopping you...I myself get far greater enjoyment going to club cruises and show n' shines, mixing with like minded enthusiasts rather than being a "SHOW OFF" for the general public and 22" chromy pimping bogans (nothing against other people with chrome wheels, just not my cup of tea ).
