I think that was my first aus300zx cruise without a mountain range in sight - and no overheating problems for anyone as far as I know. The cane fields and the harbour made a beautiful backdrop for a cruise. Good choice K-zed and well organised too. It was good to see so many new faces keen to know more about zed maintenance and mods too. Takes me back to my early zed years (15 months ago ). You need to learn a lot in a short time when you own a zed. And spend a lot in a short time too - at least in the beginning. Well I'm rambling ... Merry Xmas all. See you on the next criuse in the new year.
Right lane? Hate to tell ya but those were single carriageways. Some nice long straights for R33k & Fleet to hit the limit tho.
Yes twas a good day Good to see so many Z's turn out, and R33K in his burple Z couldn't have timed his arrival any better I came home with a boot ful of stuff, a K-zed 100k kit, sticker and DVD's coming out my ears, I think I spent about $800 today I was like a little boy on christmas morning when I got home My pretty PSA Nic had a great time and wants to come next time and bring her Dad's blue TT (and no, she's too old for you old codgers ) After I get my coilovers I'll organise a little cruise over Mt Glorious and out to Wivenhoe dam to check out how little water we have... hell yeh!!! I've organised / led a few 'nice sight seeing tours' up the mountain myself! Sounds great But it has to be going up from the 'Esk' side...
Mt Glorious is great for the NA's, nice and tight with lots of downhill bits. All in all makes lag a real pain Once your on the other side heading towards the dam you could easy sit on ~180 to ~230 the whole way, nice big sweeping bends with banked corners, beautiful view and the roads are in pretty good nick. Great place for a photo shoot at the end too
i say.. we go to the dams via ipswich, then we go towards brisbane forest park. we go up from the dam side... Its an amazing drive up the hill from that direction...

certainly one great, enjoyable day .. with lots of old and new faces .. and augurs well for the future of zedding in QLD ... tons of fun, chat and tales .... and i loved the swap .. i swapped chardonnay for a few tall stories .. lol...!!! our darling mascot, zedette, was busy meeting, greeting and showing off her artistically produced name stickers .. lol .. thought that she would exhaust our supply ... thanks to k-zed for the organisation and to all for making it a top time ( still have a few to go to crack the big $500, rob..).... aahhh, targas off ..way to go ... :zlove: :zlove:

OMG! i've worked on my car 4 hours today. just got back from surfers so cruised for about 6 hours. Theres no way i was gonna go up tambo tonight! especially with my overboosting issues... (wont boost under 17psi!, in fact i cant change it at all!!!)
my first cruise ever and had a ball. so many niceeeeeeeeee looking zeds there and met a few people too, got burn badly though cant wait for the next cruise. thanks to greg and bob for looking at my car too
