prancing around the fact that they are shit to buy from or sell to
but making it sound nice haha.

 

What about something like the ebay feedback system? i.e, put post up for feedback, so when you post in it you say..

"Bought item x from blueraven. (link to thread) Item was well packed and received promptly. Highly recommend!"

Or...

"Sold shell to Jamesz007. Threatened me with violence of mystery items. Avoid at all costs"

That way, members can search the thread for a users name before buying

 

Why can't it simply be a condition of the forum rules that we all agree to abide by to be able to register on this forum, that the forum reserves the right to list your name in a "WARNING" list if it deems your actions and proven dealings in a transaction/sale through direct correspondence on this forum to be of dubious or outright dishonest nature in the attempt to scam or withhold money or parts at any time during the transaction/sale for personal gain and profit.

Is it possible to include that in the rules you must agree on to register and then that gives the moderators the power to simply have a warning list that doesn't outright discredit somewhere but simply makes buyers/sellers aware of certain people's past dealings that were proven to turn sour (which could also involve both parties, not always clear cut who is in the "right" or "wrong"), that they have put themselves in the spotlight of distrust and you are only making others aware of it?

What do the moderators think about having a clause like that (obviously have to have someone legal minded go over it and write it in the proper legal grammer )?

Also when its so obvious that there is a seriously dodgy person on the forum, why have they not been removed? Some of what James said to Flame was a personal threat and I know people have been removed (or left) because of such threats, just because it wasn't on the forum shouldn't mean it gets let slide as its through the forum that he found out about the sale and subsequently found out where flame lives (you really gota be careful like others have said about who you invite into your home, just because they are part of the forum doesn't mean squat by itself)

Either there needs to be a name and be warned list or a tried and trusted buyer/seller system (like a dealer rating or like blueraven said, something like a tab in the member profile details where people can leave a feedback message with summarized positive and negative counts) to protect the good people on here that take it on faith that people to do the right thing by each other.

He got a shell you did something for him now his "so called mates" are saying you took things off the car how lame is that really it is...
