Hi I know the law is tight when it comes to any form of street racing. that why when i get my Zed Running good I wouldnt mind taking it out to the strip to see what it can do. just wanna know if there is people out there who follow the fast and the furious sence ? SIKZ32TT
pretty sure alot of the comments and thoughts here are dont street race... just stupid and dangerous..... theres a time and a place for everything, do it on a track and do it properly and safely...
in melb we have the dandy-frankston road drags.. down in the industrial estates.. used to be drags down princess HWY but the cops have pretty much cleared that up.. laverton drags are fast and the furiousish..they have drift and drag for cash and fun down in the industrial estates..all the cars park on the side and you go up and ask any 1 for a race etc.. they have a girl in the middle of thecars tell you when to go.. was there as a passenger in my mates s14...wasnt any cops because they go into a different industrial estate all the time.. oh and yer it is pretty stupid but hey.. better they kill themself and the car instead of anyone else on a public road not sure about other states.. coz.. well i dont live there lol
yes it does exist, but not in that sort of glamorous fashion that you always see in the movies, and the chicks are never that hot...lol seriously though organised street racing can be found if you look hard enough, but i cant recomend that you dont try it enough....its just a ego trip more than anything, nothing real to be gained out of it in most occasions.... if you want to drive fast, buy a helmet and visit a track, thats my opinion anyway...
It's one of my hobbies...along with russian roullete and chainsaw juggling. You got it right in the first mate, keep it off the streets and everyone's happy.
There is street racing in most states i'd assume... Its mostly the industrial estates where the drift goes off tho... its good fun cos u know that no one will be there n its a rush to get out in time if they do show up shouldnt be saying this on here i spose, but i love it! There was a big thing in the papers a while back about the racing on the M1 so that has slowed up a bit lately, but u can still find the cars n the guys/girls on thurs n sat nites in Qld (thurs in brissie n sat on the GC) Its fun on the streets, but alot safer on the track
my GF lives on chapel street which is right off where the princess hwy drags are so i used to go down for a drive that way on the weekends instead of the freeway.. there were some nice cars there... but you used to see someone pulled over by the cops at least once every 5 minutes
I agree street Racing would be foolish Im not a huge risk taker like most of the young ppl out there but like everyone i do wanna have a good time. well most of my racing will be done on the computer or maybe drag strip. and if im cruzin and i have some ford or commodore try hard try to and line me up maybe and then i would give them a run. Use some common sense guys! I cant believe people openly discuss this sort of thing on a public forum, especially naming specific locations. Street racing does not make you cool, i makes you a bloody idiot. I dont wanna harp on but, i dont give a shit if you kill yourself, its the other innocent person or even family you kill. Think about it and grow up.
hmm hopefulyl we get some coppers have a look at my post and roll downthere.. wouldnt that make me mr . popular ;/ but if they wanna do that shit its better that they do it in an industrial estate where they are the only ones that will get hurt... i must admit though i have been there a few times.. not to race but to have a geez
oh also i dont condone street racing.. its just better for all of us who have control and wait till we hit the strip/track that these ppl can only hurt them self and their.. and that is all!
MMMMMMMMMMM steet racing I would love to comment on that but I can't all I can say hillruns at night, some of us knows what I'm on about Happy & safe driving
Look people..... ITS NOT HOW YOU STAND BY YOUR CAR!! Its how you mangle the crap out of it lol. Honestly are there people really into this fast&furious scene? Pick a car and ask to race and have some airhead wave the flags?? LOL How cowardly and amateur... Now the racetrack is where you get all this 'respect yo!' your all after
james is trying to organise a track day, you should get onto him and see if we can get that happening i've had my brush with the law and i'm not risking my license anymore i'm gunna shout my mate to a day at the track if we can get it going - why not let a mate have a spin in your car for half the track price (if ya trust them )
only time im ever fast and furious is during sex hill runs and social/odd chance dragging for me.. no organized drags in industrial estates with hundreds of other cars.. besides dragging on the roads is proving to be a bit useless to me as i spin through all of 1st and then start snaking in 2nd.. bloody 265s last night i dusted of an brand new audi, a vn 5ltr and a pulsar GTiR and it was all during my commute to a restruant.
Keep it at the track, honestly you may not think it, but sitting at the start line waiting for those lights to change is a huge rush....EVERYTIME....and I've only got a friggin NA.
so if the only time ur ever 'fast and furious' is during sex.... does that mean its all over in high 12sec or low 13seconds? lol
I've been invited to the ISD's before but prefer to keep my racing to a controlled environment - its too risky and my car, my life and the lives of the people around me mean too much to risk it. :zlove: Other people are right - if you want respekt - you'll get more at a track with many people watching you - than at ISD's where there's just a handeful of people watching you.
lol.... have u seen that red 1980's corolla shit box driving around with "RESPEKT" too lol... i saw it the other night..... and i thought of miksta.... dunno y lol
