Apparently the series 4 is a bit of a hassle to work on, getting spark plugs out, topping up fluids and such are not as simple as they could be. I gather when the engine he has dies he will be looking for a series 5 to replace it with. Just trying to remember what else he liked, the size of the radiator (the stock one), the MAF. Don't remember. Not a very informative post is it? He is definitely not looking to trade in his rotary for a Zed but he quite liked it.
How Do Others Describe the Zed? Hi all, I've received the classic - "Wow, that's a nice Ferrari mate!" I've also heard kids yell out when I have the targas off: "Wow, look at that car" as they point in my general direction. "Wow, that's my car - yeah" Or, "Hey Mum, look at that car, WOW!" From some of the more discerning drivers: "Hey nice Zed - is that the twin turbo version" Me: "Yep, sure is - HAMMERS too!" Other: "WOOOW".:cool2: Catchya.
i had fun with some 15 year old kids trying to work out the year of my car (having no friggin idea what it was) "it's a 96!" "no it was made in 2004!" etc etc some kid said it was a ute :S (being the only 2 door 2 seat car he'd ever seen i gather) "man that must have cost a lot" "i bet it does good burnouts......do a burnout" "shit it's lowered! (it's actually stock height currently )"
Lot's of comments... Most recent... Walking back to the car from Bunnings, a family was walking next to me back to their car...the daughter says... "I'll take the black one..." I just smiled... Rob.
Was driving through a shopping centre and was people starting to reverse and it looked like a nice slalom course, and as i had right of way i decided i would enforce it, (Normally i am patient and wait), Gave it a hit and got a reasonable launch, and i see at the end of the road a girl standing next to her mother, pointing at my car explainging how the front of my car lifted off the ground (I think she may have been exaggerating slightly) but that was pretty cool. I often get people saying things like "bloody new cars", to which i respond that my car was built in the 80's and they say really, "what is it", I have also had "dont you like money, why is your car still running, do you know how expensive petrol is" after wlking away from the car with a turbo timer on
To quote my sister today... She mentioned that my ex-wife asked about my new car and my sister (who works with her) said.. "I told her how super exciting and sexy your car is and how it makes that funky turbo noise and it's black and shiny and super cool"
Renee and I were driving back to her house the other day and some young kids in the street go "whoa!!!" as I drive past, then Renee drives past and they go "look! another one!"....I think they liked hers more though as its got more "zexual" lines Being in a small town we mainly get "what is it" or "is that one of those imports" asked with a skeptical look as they think of all the "hoon" stories Good thread  Cheers! Craig
when i took my car to a mates place (runs a worked WRX + a few commodores(all written off)) girl freind asked after walking up drive way "who's Ferrari is parked out the front?" twas good for yon luaghter and merry making
The old guy next door once said"thats the best Corvette yet" and the normal reaction is what car is that"its a nissan 300zx"they reply"really mate I love it very nice"
'farrrk how low is that' or 'needs a paint job, bro.' but kids always stare.. for ages lol i remember the other day this little girl was staring out of her mini van as i was driving along, didnt stop looking for the entire 5 minutes we were driving along.
