shall we lighten the mood with some pissy stories? ok! I was once picked up for drink walking and locked up over night, there wasn't even anyone around, apparently I was endangering myself by zig zagging alongside gold coast highway. another time after a few drinks I was woken up at a bus stop at 9 in the morning by an old lady wanting to sit down, damn I felt like a bum! another time I came out of a pub that had just closed with a few mates, wanted to go to scarborough so without saying anything, jumped in the back of a ute full of strangers that was about to leave.. 5k's down the road one of the them notices me and asks who the hell are you? I was like, should I know you? oh yea.. this isn't normal behaviour.. luckily they were going the right direction. I don't drink more than like once/year now.. for me it's like nothing, nothing, nothing.. stupid.
cheers, only reason i did punch it was because it was quiet and empty, the whole block which it happened on was deserted.. yes i drank and drove and stuffed up but i do have enough sense to not do that sort of shit infront of people standing close to the road. donoryan, wont be leaving the forum dude.. even if i sold the zed.. ive made alot of friends off here and learnt so much, so i would stay regardless

If supporting a sensible, intelligent criticism by a fellow forum member, is seen by you as a form of child care, then I suggest that you have the problem, not me. Time wasting? Judging by the informative value(?) of numerous of your posts, I wouldn't have considered that "time wasting" was high on your list of things to avoid. On a more serious note, trying to draw a connection between ak's criticism of drink drivers, and posts of a religious nature, is stretching your credibility IMHO, and is seen by many as a shameful attempt to incite another religion/athiest type war on this forum. I enjoy your newsflashes on the latest wine tastings/specials, far more than this sort of stuff, why not concentrate on those posts?
trav what is going to happen to your idea of "the 3 amigoZ" (rofl) since there is no licence now are you going to recruit and be manager? just trying to lighten up this thread.. too many abusive posts.. and ak just because we stick up for him doesnt mean we drink and drive.. or plan on doing it.. thats a dumb comment. trav at least had the balls to put this up and to tell everyone of his horrible experience. maybe it was becuase he wanted to use himself as an example so other people dont drink drive or maybe just to let some of his friends on the forum know what happened and that he and everyone else who may or may not have been at the scene is ok (except for his pride) im sure you have done something bad too but did not have the balls to post it up just so you could look like an angel on the forum and ass kiss
Speak for yourself I would never even conceive of gambling with my own life, that of my friends or anyone elses by driving under the influence. I imagine because he took his car to the wedding he planned on driving it back. He was sober when he took those first drinks and I bet he knew when he turned the ignition to drive home later on that if he were breath tested, he would read over the limit. All those defending him, sit back and imagine if you lost a friend or loved one to some f**king moron driving home drunk because he couldn't be arsed to pay for a taxi. Obviously to some people out there a potential human life is not worth as much as a taxi fare. Now read your comments again and tell me no one has the right to be outraged.

Good to see common sense and well thought minds still exist Its sad to me that too many people die due to this carelessness and unless everyone, not only condemns it but actually takes it seriously rather then just a slap on the wrist its gonna get worse. dont know, alot of thoughts are going through my head, im just waiting for this summons to court to see whats going on.. i may or may not sell the car as resisting driving it will be so hard.. i'll give it a while when the emotions are gone and reality has well and truely set in
Mate, just keep the car and fix it up slowly. Whatever comes to ya, just cop it and use it to become stronger in resisting booze. Work and pay your fines and save up some dosh to fix the car making it better then before and in the mean while dont drive and still be greatful your ok and that what you hit were poles. Good luck
