    I enjoyed the 2 hours....

No complaints from me Kingy..:) I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours we had for lunch. It was a great time to catch up with friends and I really enjoyed the tree top walk. And thats a big statement from me as I normally hate bush walks. I needed my arm twisted, but I was very happy in the end that I went on the walk...

    Some pics...

Another awesome day, even if it was a little damp..:) I think it would have to be one of the wettest cruises I have been on..:) Got to love Melb, torrential down pours one minute and then sunny skies the next....

Big thanks to BADZX and BigCol for organising another awesome day. And thanks also to the forum members who attended and didnt pike at the last minute due to some rain and grey skies... Although the roads were damp, everyone was responsible (as far as I could tell) and still had some fun. And the run from Apollo bay back to Melb was one of the best drives I have had on the GOR. Very little traffic, dry roads and sunny skies..:)

I actually didnt take that many pics as I was fighting electrical gremlins all day and having to use black magic to start my car every time we stopped... but here are some that I took...

Usual meet point at Todd road servo.... when all the cars were shinny and clean.... by the end of the day they were covered in mud, dirt and road grime..:)

This is the bridge that takes you through the tree tops. For those who fear heights, stay away. Its high up, it sways, and sways even more when certain people try to rock it from side to side...

The money tree. This stump, or should I say trunk, extends from the forest floor, and sits about 2 meters away from the edge of the bridge. The idea being that you are meant to throw coins and have them land on the trunk. Personally I think its a scam, and all those coins were placed there by the park owners to attract fools like us who then throw many coins at the stump. Judging by the amount of coins on the forest floor, I would say that many people have failed. Still, its all for a good cause as all coins are supposedly donated to the Childrens Hospital.

That was simply one awesome cruise!!

Many many thanks to Kingy for doing such a great job organising the event and everyone on the day. Many thanks to Col for your help in the cruise as well with the experience you bring to the GOR cruise and also the great pace you set back along the GOR, was extremely fun flowing through the corners with you, Jedi and Adam :D

It was quite a mixed day for weather, pelting down on the way to the Otway Fly then beautiful sunny spring weather the whole way back on the GOR. The tight twisting section through the national reserve rain forest was fun but took it pretty easy as the road was damp and very narrow. About the detour, I knew it wasn't part of the original cruise route but I didn't mind it at all, was quite a good drive in itself.

Went for a walk on the Fly, that was pretty cool...some huge towering trees and ferns, awesome to be up in the tree tops...Im glad you went on it Jedi and could appreciate it over your lack of interest in nature walks :p

We really were blessed / lucky with great weather for the return trip on the GOR and am so glad I got to drive the GTR on it before it's sold...I've never had a driving experience on the GOR like it, just flowed through the corners so effortlessly with tons of grip and feel and you'd get to a little straight and just let it rip up to third, heel toe it back to second and cut into the next set of twisties...simply freaking AWESOME :D :D :D

I've got a few photos, nothing to really brag about or hasn't already been covered by the other great photos from Adam and Jedi so I may only post a few up but my mate that came for the trip got some footage on his Iphone which did a great job I must say, so I'll try to combine it all and post up some time this week.

Renee and I were so stuffed by the time we got back home in Bendigo, our day consisted of leaving at 6am and getting back by 9pm so a 15 hour cruise for us

    Cheers!

A great day, all in all the weather held out pretty well too.

I really enjoyed the different route this year, the back roads we took on the out bound trip were great (especially as it seems some of it was made up as we went along, never would have guessed) and the return trip on the GOR was fun too, I always forget how nice that road is.

+1 vote for the longer lunch break, it was nice to have some time to catch up with everyone and have a look around with out having to rush.

Well here's another one - I think it WAS Craig's big day out :p:p:p:D. Say thankyou, Jack, for the pic!

Alex, I think the headline is more likely to be ...
"CRAIG REALLY LIKES HIS WOODIE" ... or then again it could be the cover pic for a Greenie porn magazine :D:D:D.
