I got mine on today running both trumpets and shite they be pretty loud. I found some interesting items in my factory recirc hoses though. Someone in Jap land had blocked them up inside with some C cell batteries!
I can't think for the life of me why they would do that. I think it would basically render the system in-operable just like having no valves of any kind fitted.
Back to the bovs though, pretty easy fitment, I shortend the recirc hoses by about half and then plugged the end (after removing the batteries) so that I can just undo one trumpet and swing the hose into position when desired.
I'm no bov expert but they seem to have a very long release time. Maybe I have not adjusted them correctly. Excellent product and quality otherwise. My only gripe would be it's just not quite the whistly sound I was hoping for, it's just a giant clean sounding dump of air. But still sounds pretty good. Now i'm just thinking that everyone I go past is calling me a tosser hehe

    Thanks again Caz!

    Ben

hey... tighten up your BOV'S a little bit and go 3/4 throttle and let go/ change gears at about 5-7 psi.. you get sexy flutter... and at full boost you still get the PSSHHTT noise.. best of both worlds

The Bov's come with install instructions and Blipman has written a good tech article on installing Bov's in to Zeds , stock piping is all the correct size for them so its not a difficult job.

I found getting the rear bolt of the factory recircs a little bit of a pain in the ass but not too bad. I had to remove the aux thermo fan to get to them. And bloody bashed my knuckles pulling the little vacuum line off to replace with the silicon one!

Other than that all pretty straight forward. :)

Received mine yesterday - they look great thx Caz. great service.
    Should have them fitted tonight.
Does anyone know if the stock vacuum tube going to the recirc valves is long enough to reach/fit the hyrids? Just want to know if i will have to buy anything before i fit them.

There is extra vacc hose in the box with the Bov's, all you need is there :)

I have mine 50/50 atmo recirc and on low boost they recirc and higher I can hear them vent.

    Caz.. :)

Hi Ben, removing aux thermo fan is a must, only two bolts and makes it much easier to work in there.
I put a hose joiner in the vacc line to extend it as getting the stock bit off is one thing but I had no idea how I would be able to get the new stuff back in!

    Caz.. :)

    XTREME ZX ZED Xtremist

    Received yesterday and installed today

Caz you will be pleased to know that bovus xtremus maximus is born... I couldn't help myself... i had th enew ones in, in approx 10 min.. I am a pro at these now... As expected mine have both trumpets hihi and set to full atmo....

Further more my vacum leak problems are now GONESKI. My stoich meter is now showing the right readings and i am not running extremely rich...

I took her for a 10 min drive around the area i am in and they sounds crazy... I ran low boost and as soon as i get some induction roar from my filter they build up just the right pressure and simultaneously flutter and woosh...

i'm over the moon... Your a GEM...

Thanks so much for your efforts...

    Tezza

By the way.. happy to help any sydney siders install theirs if needed.

Will there be another run for these?

By the time I realised this was on, it was too late.
Can we still get them from you Caz when there's another 10 or has this GB finished and no more?

Hi Alv, yes I will do another buy, I will put it up tomorrow . There have been so many requests from people who blinked and missed the last one :p

I will run it for 3 weeks to give everyone time, if numbers go over 30 (which is only 15 Zeds)they will be even cheaper for you :D :D

    Cheers,
    Caz.. :)
