    GFB HYBRID BOV's $255.00 each

I am often asked for quality Blow off valves, a malfuctioning/leaking Bov can cause all sorts of problems for Zeds. GFB produce top quality products and their Hybrid BOV's are a favorite.

    GFB speil below>>

The Hybrid features two venting outlets, one is a recirculation outlet and the other dumps to atmosphere.
The latest version of the Hybrid allows the user to vary the noise characteristics of the valve, essentially making the Hybrid four valves in one. By swapping either the trumpet or the recirc outlet for a special plug (now supplied), you can change the valve to 100% recirc (silent), 50/50 recirc/atmosphere (medium noise), or 100% atmosphere (loudest). By purchasing an additional trumpet (Part no. 6110, RRP $35.00) you can also turn your Hybrid into a Bovus Maximus.
Colours available: red, blue or silver.
$350 AUD including GST (Part No. 1003).

***That additional trumpet mentioned above comes with our HYBRIDS...no extra charge. We get 2 trumpets per BOV.
So we can be Bovus Maximus X 2 without extra cost :D

It is easy to change the fittings so you can change the noise characteristics/ volume of your Bov's as you need.
    http://www.gofastbits.com.au/index.php?parentid=tech_info&option=tech_info

These HYBRIDS have a universal fitting so there is NO adaptor kits to buy.

We need to buy 20 units to get the $255ea (including the extra trumpet), which is 10 Zeds.
There will be a postage/courier cost but until I weigh them I cant be sure what that will be. Wouldn't be over $10 for the pair though.

There is no wait for these, as soon as there are 10 paid up buyers they will be sent within 3 days.

We already have 3 confirmed buyers:
    AK
EXTREME ZX (soon to be known as BOVUS EXTREMUS MAXIMUS)
    Caz

    Cheers,
    Caz.. :)

LOL Mike, welcome to zed ownership!!

I totally understand believe me :p

Most people fit them under the front nose panel, where your stock recircs are.

    Caz.. :)

    http://www.turbosmart.com.au/index.php?id=48

they pretty much look a lot like some of the turbosmart ones...and how do we install these without an adapter kit??

The only Turbosmart that has some similar features to the GFB Hybrid is the Turbosmart Dual Port. BUT it only has one trumpet with it and the cheapest I can find it anywhere is $399, Even Ebay its $429.
I have found with most Turbosmart Bov's you need to purchase an adaptor kit...not sure about their Dual port?

There are fitting instructions for the HYBRID on the GFB website

Firstly not trying to put people off this group buy another member has asked about Turbosmart valves. I had the GFB valves that I purchased and lucky enough to see a mate of mines turbosmart supersonic valve at the same time, we compared both the valves and found the turbosmart valve is easier to adjust and has a larger opening and trumpet area, this was not the recirc one though and is very loud as a full atmo vent valve. I sold my GFB's and bought the turbosmart ones.

These GFB ones caz can get are a bloody good price and a great peice of gear if you want to stay legal with your mods. Try getting turbosmart valves for this price of $510 for two with kit, Impossible mine were close to $400 a peice plus blanking plugs.

Top gear Caz as always and a great price dont think you will have any trouble getting the 10 for the GB.

So come on all raid the piggy banks this is CHEAP.

That is a great price Caz, you are the lady with the magic touch for sure!

To give a vote of approval and some back-up I have used these BOV's for over 2 years with absolutely no problems from them at all. Quality stuff when you see some real rubbish out there- and I have seen a lot of it lately with seized BOV's seemingly at every tech day I attend!

Personally after having the Hybrids for so long I am more partial to returning to a full recirc design as I have gotten over the sneezing now. It's purely a personal preference though. So these might just do. Stock recircs are crap at anything over standard boost anyways, and if I change my mind again then it's a simple trumpet fitment! Nice.

ahh ok yeh the dual port was the one i was thinking of as well.

do we need 2 bov?? cos in addition of the adapter kit u need 2 bov with the turbosmart range.

and do these make the "sneezing" sound or is it sequential

    thanx :zlove:

Yes artin you need two BOV's as the zed is a split intake after the airflow meter for dual turbos etc. You can mount them in the stock recirc position and save a lot of cash as you wont need custom flanges and pipes made up for the intake tract. Most members would have theres mounted in the factory position i would think.

How will they go for fittment if a twin pod system were going to be used, say in the smic ducts, with an aftermarket ecu. will their be a need for some adapters of some kind to be made?

    Cheers.

Hi Zedipated, the GFB HYBRIDS are set up so they can be anyway you want them. You can have them full recirc(plumback), 50/50 recirc/atmo or 100% atmo. You can have them as quiet or as loud as you want.
You can have them full atmo and twin trumpet LOUD at the track and quiet full recirc on the street

It will run until there are 10 takers.

    Caz.. :)

An aftermarket ECU has no impact on your bov's, and where you put your intakes doesnt change where your stock recircs are?? They are different things....aren't they
I presume you would fit them in the same place that your stock recircs are...

Difficult to answer precisely as I dont know your custom setup..

    Cheers,
    Caz.. :)

    Hi Artin,
You dont need any adaptors to fit these, but you do need 2 Bov's.

    They are sequential.

There is some really interesting information about these Bov's in the GFB catalog on their wesite. Page 7 and 8 from memory.. its worth downloading and having a read.
