I have done a search and found that all zeds 2 and 2+2's come with a 70L fuel tank. Now whenever I fill up my zed, I can only fit 50L in my tank. Even when it's on E, I can only fit like roughly 47L into it, which makes me believe that te capacity of my fuel tank is only 50L. I have a 2 seater, did 2 seaters come with a 50L fuel tank?

nope 72L is the tank size, when mine is just on E i can only fit about 55L, but i have had to put in 65L before when i ran it down a bit further than usual, the light comes on when you have 12L left

I can hardly get up to 50L, even when it's past E, I can only get max 46-47L. 20L would be very noticeable. Never have I even gotten to 50L let alone past that.

My old car had a 70L tank and when it was on E, I could still fill aroud 65L on it. Every other car I have driven did the same thing, eg if it's a 40L tank, i could only fill it with around 37L.

You guys really are not trying hard enough, my best is 71.2 litres. The fuel light had been on for ages, the needle was 3mm below E and 740km on the trip meter.

    Same here...

    Mine is the same Luey...

When it gets to the E or even just below, the most I can fill up is around 50-55L. I know the Tank is 72L though.

The other thing is that when it gets to the E, the little light doesn't come on. It comes on when the needle is well and truely past the E and into the empty space. My guess is the Fuel gauge on these cars aren't very accurate. Or, the sender unit on the Fuel Pump needs to be cleaned or replaced.

The other option is, since we changed the gauges, next time you fill the car right up, adjust the dash gauge so that it sits above the "F". That way when it's time to fill it up again, the tank will be more empty when the needle is on the E.

I have the same issue as well i changed my fuel pump when the needle was on E but there was still a fair bit of fuel in the tank. I think its there to combat starvation?

At least you got past 50L, I can't get past that. I don't think my fuel light is working because I pulled the globe out once and don't know if I put it back properly. Anyway to test the fuel light without running down on fuel?

    Got balls?

The other thing to do is get yourself a 5L tin of fuel and keep it in the trunk.

Now, drive the car until there is absolutely no fuel left and the car stops. See where the needle is on the gauge. See if the fuel light comes on. Then adjust if needed.

Fill the car up with the fuel from the tin and go straight to the petrol station to fill up properly.

Sounds like luis is being tooooo careful hehe :D live on the edge a bit. Just see how far you get (km's) eg i get bout 550-600 odd out of a tank and thats still being careful i guess but then you know youre getting low and watch for the fuel light to come on. Get the fuse checked first then take it for a run....
All 300 zeds are 72L and yep the reserve is 12L. I guess keep trying and see how far you go...

LOL, where do you think the fuel pick up is?

Using the last few litres in the tank would be more likely to pick up all the shit from the top of the tank.:D

    mrkarter77 No Really, They do!!!

Gravity Pwns your statement..... the fuel would sit at the bottom of the tank therefore the pickup would be at the bottom of the tank, it mught screw in the top or side :p
