    hahah yeah,

The Gen 3 Ls1 is actually more of a direct fit than you might think, even the Z transmission can be used, the engine is 100 pounds lighter than the VG30, being all alloy, and also sits slightly lower... Not that Ive done any research or anything ;)

Thanks man, Its good to be Back :zlove:

Its going to take a month or 2 to get it on the road with the engine swap and all, My new Mechanic is the owner of RPM motorsport, He is doing all my work completly free, and also any future work I want done, I just pay for parts, which is fantastic cause he is a genious.

Eagle Auto have a 1993 LT5 with gearbox and ECU for $20,000

Sounds like a lot of money for a 5.7L V8 Quad cam but it produces an easy 405HP stock. Callaway used to take the C4 LT5 equipped Corvettes (called ZR1) and put about $50,000 into the engine to turn them into street legal twin turbo 5.7L V8 producing an easy 750HP and then with a bit more boost people are getting over 1000HP easily. You can also bore and stroke them out from 350ci to 440ci so a 440ci with twin turbo would be putting out around 1200HP plus more. You know you want to Blade and I have had experience installing an LT5 before so I know enough about them to get them up and running.

    Hahah, Thanks man, but

Im actually doing this on a budget, (what ever is left after purchasing the Z from the sale of the vette),
while 1200 HP sounds like fun, Im still after a daily driver :LOL:

Are you sure this engine would fit in a Z? Not only will the LS1 fit, Ive already ordered a complete Manual on the whole conversion process of an LS1 into a Z (yes someone actually wrote a manual on how to do it :p:LOL::thumbsup:)

I can get the engine and Tranny for $6000 ish, since all the mechanic work is being done for free I save pretty big there  Ive even considered the new LS2, although they are pretty pricey, and Im not sure if the physical dimensions will fit in the Z's engine bay, is it physically any bigger?

Im not the same silly blade I was was :p
