Fiberglass Stock Spoilers for 2+2

I'm pretty sure he's just making them on demand now, send him a message and I'm sure he'd be happy to sort one out for you.

I'm picking my car up from the panel shop with one of Al's spoilers fitted either tomorrow or next week depending on how I'm going for time, I'll let you know my verdict when I see it. I'm pretty sure it will be good, the guy at the panel shop is not backwards in saying what he thinks so I think I would have heard from him if he didn't think it was any good.

 

Oh I know, I'm just short on cash x)

 

Hi Al - Any chance you can supply a painted rear spoiler this weekend?

Just a thought with these... I have to push down on my current rubber spoiler quite hard on the middle in order to get it to catch the latch to hold the hatch down... would that be an issue with the replacement spoiler?

Indeed. I have shaved the wiper and removed the counterweight and I still only have to drop that hatch and it will latch. You shouldnt have to push on it.

 

Picked my car up today, other than being in perfectly new condition you could not pick that it is not the original spoiler the car rolled out of the factory with. Can't ask for more than that really.


I probably should also mention that the first spoiler sent down the the panel shop I was getting the work done was broken by the courier company, when I got the call from the panel shop I messaged Al (while he was on holiday in NZ, sorry Al) who said he would sort it out and then never heardy anything else until the car was finished and ready to be picked up. Full marks for customer service there.

Regarding the weight, I never saw it off the car but the hatch is noticeably lighter to lift (I already had the counter weight out) and requires a little push to shut propperly but not much.

All in all I'm very pleased, the real test will be to see how it looks and holds it's shape in 6 months or a year but so far I see no reason to worry.

I saw that busted up rear spoiler at Frank's!........I wondered whose it was??

 

It looks just like a stock one but cleaner and neater, anyway, that would require me having a camera! what do you think ii am, some kind of photographer?

mines getting fitted as we speak. the z should be out by thursday, i'l definately post up pics, it seemed like a great fit when i was watching them dry fit it. :br:

My ZTOY spoiler is finally on, heres a few pic's for you guys. fits great and my hatch actually holds itself up now








Very happy with the result, much better than my old cracked rubber spoiler.
