Why not? I'm following Nissan's naming convention. Look up Nissan Fuga 450GT GT = Gran Turismo (Grand Tourer) Nissan Fuga 450GT ... N/A 4.5L V8 Ferrari 599GTB ... N/A 6.0L V12 Aston Martin DBS V12 ... N/A 5.9L V12 Maserati GranTurismo ... N/A 4.2L V12 Nothing to do with how the air is inducted, if that's what you're thinking Aidan's shed
VH45 powered Zed is a real GT car. Having driven mine a few times from Sydney to south east QLD, a VH45 powered zed ( with an appropriate exhaust system that does not drone cruising speeds ) is a real GT car... the kilometers just real roll off. Cruise along at 110km/hr at around 1500-2000 rpm, put your foot down and it just rocks past trucks and power over hills. Quiet & sedate then chainsaw massacre when revved out to 7000rpm, and a rumble when backing off or coming down through the gears. VH45 = GT car.
OK I was retarded today and ended up bending and cracking the gear selector components while pulling out the engine... So no stuffing around, ordering that from Coz tonight... But if someone has a junk gearbox, I NEED PARTS OFF IT! Anyone got any ideas on a temporary bonnet bulge? I'm getting my friend at Beyond Custom to make me one but I don't really wanna tow the zed down this way again... and can't have the engine poking out cause I'll just get instantly pulled over...
Draw a hole, cut it out with a dremel. Then build the shape up with cardboard and masking tape. Use some bog to get the shape you want, then use fibreglass to finish it off. Finally, take it to Vizard for painting.
Nah no more glassing, had enough with the Walkinshaw bulge. And cardboard will just get me pulled over lol... Would a permit be valid? Isn't only for unregistered and defected cars?
Oh so not like last time I think that'll be the way to go... I'll catch a train down to Rocko and get the zed towed... So by next weekend should be running provided the replacement gearbox parts arrive by then and I don't bend anymore parts...
The gear selector thing at the end of the gearbox. And the shifter as well. Didn't undo the rubber interior bracket thing while yanking the engine out
