I'll throw pics up when I have it all fitted up. Here's the original thread About post #55 Looks like the custom condenser will have to lay flat horizontally along the bottom of the radiator now though.
you could put AN fittings on almost everything on the vg. Just tig an nipples to it all. From memory that 1000hp zed had them on the front water pipes.
and run something like -24 lines? Went into PIRTEK the other day to get a price on a little bit of -10 braided hose, they wanted $420 hate to see how much rad lines would cost...
It's not going to be cheap so will be making a lot of the lines in a solid metal tubing the same way Nissan did originally.
ROFL! Don't buy anythign in Australia. Get all that gear from Summit Racing in the states. HEAPS cheaper. And had a chat to one of the other engineers at work about using intercoolers as radiators. Turns out he has done it a bit. Used a Evo 8 intercooler as a radiator on a big power XR6 Turbo that had huge cooler pipes that clashed with the standard radiator. Also used standard R33 GTS-T intercoolers as radiators on ET pulsars. No idea how this worked at all... No overheating issues at all apparently.
Yeah I got my braided lines from China, less than $20/m!!!!!!! I bet Pirtek gets their hoses from China too. That's what I like to hear... I knew I couldn't be the first to use an IC as a radiator!
Ask Chrispy Whenever his motor gets here and I can chuck his extractors on and my missing PTU! We discovered today that the VH uses 2 PTUs and I'm missing one. Engine harness has extra connectors everywhere as well so not sure how that's gonna go when we try to start it up
Why did you decide to go with Chrispy's engine? What happened to the one you were 90% through installing?
I'm not going with Chrispy's engine. That's for someone else I'm just stealing little annoying bits from it so I can finish mine. Just easier and quicker that way cause I'm long overdue.
Sorry I didn't get to read this til now. I'm ditching my log style extractors and Aidan is turning them into dumps for his TT setup. I've got Chrispy's extractors now, I must say they are quite nicely made Now to find time to finish this bloody thing. I've just finished a mech design proposal assignment, which I have to hand in at 9am in the morning... which means I gotta leave by 7:30AM... which means I gotta wake up in 4.5 hours... and I still have to return the ute! ahh bloody hell!
You can probably get a more equal runner design with a tri-Y if you can fit them, but yeah Chrispy's 4-to-1s are very nice.
Get your own VH Ramis (there's one FS in WA!!!) You all better watch out for this one... it's getting a couple of snails chucked in More on topic, my engine is coming out tomorrow YET AGAIN.... again... for the 15th (?? lost count) time
