Hey guys Firstly been out of the loop recently and haven't been on the boards much, a lot of other stuff going on in my life atm which needs to be sorted out... Some of you know that i've been organising a possible event for Aus300 to enter Autosalon as a club, i figure it would be great publicity to the club and would put us more "on the map" so to speak, to my knowlege this has never been done before, i.e. publicity for our club in a major motoring event, but feel free to correct me if there was one in the past... Before any of this happened, i asked a buisnisses if they were willing to sponsor us and have so far got 2, 1 pretty much confirmed and a second one 1 phone call away, hopefully i wont need to ask PZP to be the 3rd, if they want to come in, should be automatic i would have thought Over the past couple of months i have been in contact with the championship organiser and have asked a series of questions involving the show Me Hey there im not sure im in the right section so if you could direct me who totalk to about this, it would be much appreciated My name is Michael and im trying to organise our club to enter in theautosalon perth competition in the coming months, july i believe?, i wasthinking of entering all of us as a club, we all drive 300zx's and to myknowledge out club hasn't entered in this competition in the past. I have downloaded the form for the compeditors so can pass that on tothe required people. I was just wondering what rules and regulations we need to obide by, howmany cars max can we enter?, what quality does it have to be?, just anyinfo regarding entering would be great so i can pass it onto the guysand we'll go from there, i do have some sponsors who is willing to helpus which is a bonus but i need to find out what/how it works Cheers Mike Alisa Hi Michael, Yes you have contacted the right department, this is something I handle. Firstly its great to hear you interested in entering the show and soearly to. We are currently in the process of putting together andinformation pack and entry forms for 2007. Please disregard the entryforms you have printed as you will need to fill in current ones for thisyear. As for a club entry, it is a minimum of 6 cars. They do have to bemodified to some degree. There will room on the new entry form toinclude details of modifications but for example we would expect morethen just wheels and exhaust however we do understand that car clubs arepromoting more the club then just the car and do make allowances forthis. The rules and regulations will all be contained in the information packand on the entry form so please give us till mid feb before that will beready. As for sponsorship, be aware the private and club competitors cannot actively promote or display/distribute promotional material relateda business. The exception to this a car that's in pro class may displaystickers. Keep this in mind and for further details contact me. You mayhave modifications boards up for the vehicles with a list of who did thework and what has been done. You may also have minimal stickers etc. Youmay obviously promote the club just not so much the business'. At this stage no maximum is set for Perth but approx 10 is a good numberif you have extra then great, put them on a list and if there is enoughspace then we can allocate them room. Orite lets get 1 thing straight I'm doing this purley for promotion to the club and not doing this to see which car is "better" than others and the "better" ones can only enter, i was thinking of entering as a CLUB as opposed to individual entries. And to answer ur question Josh there are obviously a couple of show quality Z's in perth and we seriously need to have a think about this, at the end of the day IMO i think there should be a mix of show Z's and people who have contributed to the forum a bit, not entirely sure how the selection process will work if we were to enter...

I wasn't saying you where doing it to see which cars where better. All things considered, I reckon it's a great idea. A bit of extra recognition for aus300zx.com, and at the same time, people get to show off the cars that they love so much.
start suggesting cars to be entered then DUB, CHARIZMA ZWEETTIE....if scottie gets off perving at 16 yr olds on myspace MIKSTA...deserves a spot for organizing it IMO theres more i just cant think off the top of my head

What about your car josh? I think your car is worthy. Even though people go on about the marble paint, Geoff Beable has purple marble on his R33 N1 targa tasmania car and I saw that in person recently and I thought it looked good. Its different. I think thats what the autosalon crowds like to see. Is Chili from WA? I can't remember if he is but from his sig pic his car looks good too.
chilli is not in WA.... ummmmmm but my car wont be marble anymore lol....... it will be finished for nationals so easierly be done by then... maybe even abit of engine bling by then too..
Sounds good ide love to see this all happening. Well done to MIKSTA for the motivation and enthusiasm. Im only new to the site but it sounds like you guys know whats goin on and have a good thing. cool.
hey mickey, this is a great idea!! I've been to numerous car shows, and it surprises me that a club as close knit as ours hasn't really represented itself in anything (that i know of). i would love to help out in any way i can, i'm away in late May though for 4 months thereafter so wouldn't get to see your idea come alive. if you need anything though in the early prep stages, more than happy to put my hand up. cheers Jay
I don't know many cars but here goes.. In no particular order.. DUB Z FORCE/CHARIZMA CLARA ZWEETT JINXED can't think of any more. I don't think it really matters having the best looking cars there anyway, I've seen some pretty bad ones there in the past.
well done miksta....brilliant idea..... and good on you for making first contact with the people at autosalon to organise it for the rest of us.... aus 300 is a strong and fast growing club so we need to get out there and be seen,officially!!! there are heaps of cars in perth quality sufficent to be in the show..... one that hasnt been mentioned but may be interested... clara,with her new bright blue zed.... and your car is a good one to miksta,its looking hot these days,particurly now with the new trim in place... i hopefully will be able to enter myself with the club one day,when i get my bucket of pus zed together properly and fix all the dents and broken bodywork and stuff :zlove: one day.... next year for me maybe....
