Finally got a response from Mark at Mazworx.

They can supply plates with engineering drawings to get our bellhousings machined at any half decent CNC shop. A CNC is required to get the dowel pins the right spot as missalignment will kill your gearbox input bearing or rear crank bearing

Can I get a show of hands for who is keen (PM if you like)? I've asked for pricing, so hopefully that should come through soon.

for anyone considering the VH41 over the 45 these adapters should work with a little modding to fit the starter on the other side. This modding can apparently be done with hand tools.
Can anyone else confirm/ deny this?

    Hmm, not sure about that...

OK, will work, but you will have to move the dowel pins which I don't reccomend you do unless you know exactly what you are doing. It WILL cause misalignment if you stuff it up.

easy enough to do if you have the VH41 bellhousing to trace from?

The problem is ensuring that the gearbox input shaft is concentric with the crank. They say more than 8 thou out and it's not good, I know I can't trace and then drill that accurately. It's be difficult as the dowels are in the block and not the bell housing. I can't think of an easy way of transfering the location of the dowels to the adaptor.

aren't the dowels in the block and the holes that accept the dowels in the gearbox? so you could clamp the plate to the gearbox and mark them that way?

Yeah, the dowels are in the block. But if you clamp the plate to the bellhousing you have to remove the dowels in the plate and then transfer the location of the holes in the bellhousing to the plate while ensuring the input shaft is concentric to the crank still. PITA, I would not be confident in doing it myself.

fair enough, so have we got a price without machining?

Haven't heard back yet. Sent him a reply Friday night, so I expect something early next week. I'll let everyone know as soon as I do.

    US$200 + shipping.

That's for the plate, all bolts (which are downright weird M14 fine threads which you simply can't buy here ) and the drawings needed to machine the bellhousing.

We need 5 for that price.

Machining should only be $100 to $150 + the disassembly of your gearbox. If you are doing a swap like this, then that is hardly a big hurdle. Few bolts and the front half of the gearbox falls off...

Bit of a bargain! I think I might buy 2 just incase :D

    Chrispy 2 of
    Anton 1 of?
Mystery Man 1? (Please PM me)

    So only one more needed...

yep I'm still in, but would prefer to pay in 2 weeks, does this suit?

    2 Weeks is fine.

This GB will be pay up front for everybody, don't want a repeat of the Magnaflow GB where people commit, then just dissapear off the face of the planet

I think we'll make it $260 delivered to your door. If there is $$ left over I will send the money with the plate, if not we'll work something out.

Not sure if we will get them all sent to me, then dished out, or just sent driectly to each person.

Once we have the numbers, money will be payable to me.

Ill have one if you can confirm that these can be used on a vh41 providing an appropriate engineer does the bolting up/milling work.

Yeh I'll just take one, can you PM me bank details chris

BUMP, if your thinking about a VH45 swap in the future then grab this bargain now.

Previous adaptors have been around $600US at group buy prices and they required the flywheel to be spaced out
