I bought mine on e-bay, for UK market. It was shipped from USA, though. Cost me around $200 with postage.

I noted the comments about peeling. I understand it is all in the prepping of the surface prior to placing the trim pieces. You need to remove any grime, vinyl "sweat" etc. That's what the prepping stuff is in the kit, as well as alcohol wipes for final rub-down. Can probably buy additional cleaning stuff from a hardware store or upholsery shop if needed.

I think it's all covered in the instruction sheet.

so whatever happened to this group buy? I found another place that does RHD Z's. They have a full and not-full kit in a range of styles (eg cf, aluminium etc etc.). The full set is here and the other set is here.

Hi guys look i have just put RHD Dash Kit in chrome in my car and i can tell you it looks great and easy to put on,just be care full and make sure you get what you pay for i really only wanted certain areas done but could not buy it in bits and peices so bought the whole lot cost $200, a few of the peices where the wrong size in the door handles and peices they describe as left of steering wheel and right of steering wheel but was not going to put these ones on any way.All in all guys it has lifted the apperance in the car.I delt with Best Dash Trim which is in GBP currence but came from Alkaplus,inc Brooklyn USA there on Ebay was not overly impressed with them but it got what i wanted done, again just be care you know what your getting. cheers Fish

This is a Brisbane based company that applies all types of finishes over the car dash trim, it is not a stick on but an application. Possible more expensive than the USA stick on but I think possible a better finish. I intend checking them out and will ask if they will do a special rate for Forum members. For the person who said their ash tray lid would not close with the stick on , it should not happen with this product. Regards MIKEA

when he posted his warning. We have been researching a number of interior kits, among them the colourful interior panel trim kits, and the carbon fibre and brushed aluminium dash kits. For the information of anyone who is interested, which we trust is appreciated on this thread, we have purchased several kits for experimentation on our own vehicles and are in the throse of negotiating with the manufacturers for an exclusive Aust. and NZ distributorship including bulk buys. If there is enough interest from forum members we can post our results in full in the near future. It may be several weeks before our investigations are completed.

The finish is as hard as your car duco, looks good especially the burl walnut , It takes about 4 days to do and is finished with a hand polish, I saw a carbon fibre centre consule look good, brushed alloy

This is the only place in Australia doing it, a couple of guys have tried it in Melb and stuff the process up. You dont want to do to much in your interior as it can be a bit over the top,

I could not tell the difference between his burl walnut done on a piece of tin plate and a real peice of timber that he had its that good. I am going for a European look so will do the centre consule, door openners and window switch surrounds and maybe the ash tray lide, and mirror switches.

But the price is not cheap , depending on finish a centre consule woul;d be about $300. But if you want quality this is the place, Regards Mikea

 

Ok i have been talking to american dash and they have given me prices

So far i only asked for 10 kits and this is the email they sent back.

Notice im purchasing it in Chrome, so you can get brushed aluminium and carbon. It will be $135 AUD if interested give me a total number so that i can get things happeneing if you guys really want.,.

I would prefer ZZZzzz take over and email Darina at American Dash and tell her about my enquiry and get things rollling because i told her we will get back to her asap;

ok this is another Trim company called BD Trims

They offer the new complete kit which includes everything and has like 10 different finishes including chrome and Titanium Burl wood.

Check it out ZZzzz and the rest of yas that want to continue with this GB
