I'm taking to many days off , so i got to get my ass in gear..

i can only know what I'm doing 1 or 2 weeks b4 any event.

with an exception of those days I'm willing to take a day off for, at this stage i will not know my roster till the time comes ..

some event require pre pay , i don't want to pay for something I'm not going to enter... but I'm still a maybe......

 

Should try and talk Jen into putting her new Golf on the dyno. The thing is chipped and definately has more power than the stock 103kw. I'd bring the Merc down but I can't see the point.

 

What about your Zed? I would definitely be interested in seeing what sort of power it is making.

i think I chose a bad time for the event. we have deca the week before and alot of members are still working on their cars. I don't want people to rush to get their cars ready for this day. I have posted on SAU (there is a GOR cruise schedule for this day on SAU so not expecting a huge response) and 350Z-tech but if we don't get enough people confirmed I will cancel, return the deposits and reschedule for a time that better suits everyone, maybe later in the year. I will keep you all updated.

We are not quite there with numbers but i am sure we can dig up another 5 or so cars, even if they are 350zs and a gtrs. As for the time of the year usually winter is a good time for dynos as the weather is usually not great for cruising so other car events such as dynos are a good alternative. We are still 3 weeks away so i am sure we can find the cars, everyone who has committed try and think of a friend with a car you can invite, as to any other vic member whats holding you back? These days dont come around very often the last one was a little slim( about 18 months ago) but still had enough to go ahead and the one before that we had heaps of cars (over two years ago the one in bulleen).

 

at this stage we can expect 7 cars tops. we need another 8 definite entries or else this won't be going ahead.

the cut off date for confirmation is monday the 11th but bank transfers won't go through over the weekend so ideally we need another 8 more to confirm with deposits paid by friday the 8th so there's enough definite entries to confirm with RE customs.

 

well i was really hoping to fill this up with aus300zx members and friends but this thread has been up for long enough for everyone to see it so I think we will struggle to get any more from here. posting on sau and 350z-tech was just a last resort thing (but i can't ask for deposits from them as the don't know me so I can't even be sure if they'll show up), was hoping to gain a few more people from their so that we can run this day for the aus300zx guys who are interested.
but from the workshop's perspective they have already gone out of their way to accommodate us (usually they want 20 cars minimum) and if we show up on the day with only 10 cars they will be a bit annoyed because they still have to pay their staff and i'm sure they'd much rather be wokring on customer's cars. also normally RE Customs charges $80 for a single person to do a dyno power test so it's a big saving when we do a group booking.
either way i want to dyno my car, so that I can get baseline power and torque figures before I fit the extractors, exhaust and remap.

 

entry list updated, my brother is out as his car isn't running 100% at the moment.

well tektrader is a definite, i just need to go to his factory and get his deposit. not sure about the other guys on the list though, haven't heard from icer or cleary. pretty sure my friend ric and his mate are in, i'll have to ask them again though. so i think we're at 7-9 confirmed but i'd really like to have 15 by next weekend.

I think we are very close now. I am just waiting on deposits from icer, cleary +1, zedified and my brother is back in now. I think we are up to 14 with a few others (badxtc, Jen and a few from SAUVIC) who have expressed EOI's. Just need one more definite and we are good to go :biggrin:

I am looking forward to this. I want some baseline readings before I start pulling stuff off and changing things.

 

2 deposits received from cleary, haven't got yours yet Icer, will check tomorrow though.
remember, i need the deposit money by Friday (as transfers will not go through over the weekend) so please try to transfer it to me on Wednesday to allow 2 days for transfer.

 

Looking good now, Just waiting on a deposit from Zedified. A few people from SAU have expressed interest, a few maybes and a friend in an EVO8 should be coming too.

 

small setback, chris is unable to attend. So we are down to 10 now. I will ask Ray what we can do and get back to you all.
Do people still want to run if the cost goes upto around $60 each or more or should we reschedule? I am leaning more towards rescheduling it so that chris, wykked, badxtc, redzedmikey etc can attend the next one so that we can have a big dyno day.
