    air con

Mates we have to have the air con working in our cars to make it a complete superior car. If the air con is not working, then it makes the car uncomplete.

Well Craig thinks my aircon seemed to work when I bought the zed..But I think it was screwed and it was just the cold winter nights air..

Got it checked out about 2 years ago..and was told it has holes all through the system..so was expecting to pay $1000+ to repair..So I said "screw that"..and yes I hate being in a stinking hot car..Considering getting it done again..I'm guessing it's a dash removal job?

    Mine was great...
Just de-gassed when I got the engine swap and never got around to getting it gassed since.

    no dash out

shouldnt need the dash out unless its the pipes and evaporator behind the dash that have holes in them. If its the pipes and plumbing in the engine bay, its much much easier....

    Cheers

Hmm..maybe I should get it checked out again..to find out exactly what has holes in it..so if it's not a dash out removal..is it easy enough to change the pipes in the engine bay:confused:

mien works but on really hot days (like 34+ degrees) the only way for it to make a noticable difference is to make it recirculate

    mine still worksq

all though admitadly i noticed that mine wasnt that cold, a quik trip to the auto-electrician found that my thermal fan wasnt workin properly, but thats fixed and it works great again.. of course times where the car has been sitting in 40 degree heat:mad: it takes a little while to get goin, but thats rarely the case

I retro fitted mine when I imported it as it had to be degassed and dryer removed as part of import regulations. It went just as good as any other until I pulled out the entire system when I redid my engine bay a couple of months ago. Just hope when I gas it up again with a new dryer it works like it used to :zlove:

Ac works great all year round but heater core bypassed (hate heaters anyway)

R31 Gagz Harden the F#%K up!!

The guy where we got it quoted did reckon it had holes throughout the whole system and required a complete dash removal...thats why it was going to cost so much because of the time required to remove the dash. But I reckon a second opinion would be good.

At least you've got your heater for winter now, halfway there :p

    Cheers!
