Hey guys, glad to hear that you all enjoyed yourselves both on the back track and the skidpan
Now whilst I set up the back track again this year I honestly couldnt remember if the gates were set differently on the last chicane. They were only marginally tighter than last year (except for the last one which might have seemed tighter as it almost made it like a double apex corner). I didnt have any troubles putting the Falcon through there even with all of the stuff in the car - only wish that I had of taken a couple of people up on their generousity to drive their cars. Not that I would want to but demolishing one car (that wasnt mine  ) already this year on a certain track in Qld, I thought that I would sit this one out. Almost brought the ute up for a bit of fun but it has a dodgy diff at the moment - have already stirred up some of the Ford guys saying that I will take it up next year for the Challenge.....

    Cheers
    Sean

happy with 10th, but if i hadn't hit those cones in those 2 runs i'd be 5th... that's the way it goes though, clean sheeting is the key.
Jen's results in the Golf are really good, managed to beat Pete... although I don't know if Pete's result for hopkirk run 2 is correct, I thought all his runs were spot on.

Technically you got 4th- there were 2 entrants in the datto - Dave (dad) put you out then got done by Cam in the EVO, then adam (son) also got done by him......

But, both were in the Top 4 - Cam (Shelby), Steve (260Z), and then them. This year adam drove his N14SSS pulsar while Dave brought the 1600 back.

The winner was Cam in a Shelby Cobra 427 - he is the same bloke who won last year in his EVO.

    Cheers,

I don't get that either Sandeep. I don't remember failing to complete any. I didn't note down any times so I'm definately not going to question it.

Last year there were 4 chicanes, this year only three but they were much tighter.

It was a top day and many thanks have to go to Karen and Sean and a host of others for putting the day together. They just keep getting better and already I'm looking forward to next year. I even heard Jen wondering what the mustang would go like.....

I have a heap of video footage which I'm sorting and uploading and will post as soon as I can.

    Hey guys,

According to the sheets Pete you only did Hopkirk once. (on the lhs side of skidpan with Brad and Roland)
so a non start is the same as non finish = WD. Kr4usy had the same thing.

You overshot the end garage/hit a cone on my side on Happy Birthday.

    Hope that helps,

I definately did it twice. They seemed to be a little confused in the begining by both Mike and I driving. I definately wasn't going to question the overshoot on your side Karen. I remember it because stopping was the one thing I struggled with all day (aside for everything else, like remembering the courses....)

Not really a big deal since I was a long way from the top of the lists. How about some times for the back track????? That is what I'm really interested.
