"I would be willing to pay deposit now to help get this started if you like".

No need for that yet. Once I get things underway I'll let yous all know the time duration and cost.
I know they won't be cheap but hey, you get what you pay for and they'll lift the car no end. No pun intended.:D

    Up-date

I talked to Rarsh just then and he's away till Tuesday.
So I've arranged a meeting for Wednesday and I'll bring a set of lights to him then to work on.
I'm very happy as he's quite confident he can do the business.
If it works out well and is priced rite, I might even get an expression of interest for a GB. Sucker for punishment this guy!:D

I'm seeing the lighting "expert" soon and was thinking why not do something to the headlights too?
So I've mailed him asking him about HID's in the high and low beams and for some driving lights. I was thinking a halo around the round light may look good. At present all I have is HID's on the low beam and the highs look crap.
I'll put him to the test. They are a new company and keen to please.

    Just got this, looks good.

    Hi John,

Absolutely, I can do several options with your headlights. First would be converting the low and high beams to HID. The next would be to add the 'angel eyes' SMD LED rings to create a halo look. Otherwise I can install HID projectors with angel eyes plus an optional 'evil eyes' to the low beam and possibly the high beam (can be left HID).

But certainly will discus it with you an show you on Wednesday.

    Wednesday up-date.

Just got back from meeting Rarsh and he's a young guy who's got the rite attitude. Especially when he says with confidence "No probs John".
He reckons matching these should be no problems for him.:D

I took out the slick tops lights and gave them to him. 3 hours research on how to do it, 20 minutes to do it.
So in 2 or 3 weeks the job on those should be done.

I'll be droping off a set of headlights as well to him as soon as I get to Jamies place to pick them up.
I'll be going a new projector light, HID high beams and a driving halo around the circular headlight. This sure beats tearing my hair out on that mongrel diffuser.
And the cost for the LED and clear lenses tail light up-grade, have a guess!

would look better with 2 lines of leds for each section instead of 4 lines of leds

I think the multiple 'lines' are to create the effect of tail lights AND stop lights! ie only 2 rows of LEDs illuminate for tail then an extra 2 (4 in total) to act as the brake light! I'm talking red LEDs only of course!

    misszen Red ones go faster!

Changing the position of the lights means that the RTA wont like them.
But I assume you already know that.

    The diffuser looks good
    Cheers

    OK, you've waited long enough.:confused::confused:
When I asked the approx price he said " not cheap, a few hundred".
Now a few used like that is usually three when I went to school, although it's metric now.
Anyhow, I reckon $400 for the conversion is a very fair price to pay concidering what your getting.
I'll chase those headlights down and I'll keeps you's informed, as usual.

That's alright when you consider 2k specs are around 500 delivered...
