How is it ? Is this it ? http://www.deals360.com.au/720P-HD-Car-Camera-Recorder How long does the battery last, having a cord dangling down to the cigarette lighter is about the biggest drama I can see, maybe run a cable down the A pillar and wire in permanently.
Thanks for the offer Abe, very much appreciated. But while I have the opportunity to, I think I am just going to whack some adjustable arms in there Hopefully she will be back, and better than ever!
My missus showed me this on the FB pages. Tough gig. Bit of a shitty deal when you have to fix whats happened due to others stupidity. I think if you play it smart you'll be able to source most of the parts from here cheaply. Yes you're out of pocket but it will keep it on the road in the long run. Suspension components can be sourced from any one of the many members whom are wrecking atm. With people knowing your story, no doubtably you'll get them for nicks. If you get a guard of any colour and fix the front bar, getting it resprayed to suit the already good condition paint job wont be that costly. Also your door is probably rubbing the skirt due to the skirt sitting high as a result of the guard being twisted. Doubt the rails copped any harm. Looks like the wheel and associated components took the brunt of the collision. Anyways, get a second opinion on whats damaged from another member whom is cluey and in your area and go from there. Would hate to see it taken off the road. Best of luck.
Have you reported the accident to the police? Its actually an offence if your the only person in a MVA and no other property damage, and you car has to be towed, and you don't inform the police. BTW never say you lost control as they will use that on a neg driving charge. You always swerve to miss an object. With insurance Co. never admit "you hit" a kangaroo and they will use that as admission of liability. Always say it was unsafe to avoid it and a kangaroo struck my vehicle. I know its wording but Insurance Companys will use it to get out of paying a claim.
Cheers for that! Yeah, I've already started looking for parts. Everyones generosity is incredible. Anti, NewZ and Myself are going to go parts hunting today too. I already have a black guard sourced, and some free tension rods if I need them. But that will all depend on how my insurance assessment goes this upcoming week. Yeah, I called them as soon as it happened. And I am very aware of what needs to be said to the insurance companies, thanks for the advice though I've been through the insurance claiming process far too many times for my liking.
You've done well. The total will probably come in a bit under 2.5k I reckon (if you're painting the bar and fender).
Front guard is black, and almost perfect condition. Front bar will need paint, and modification to fit FMIC.
Bonnet is carbon fibre. At the moment I'm not too concerned if the front bar is a little off as once I finish uni the car will probably be getting a full respray
