Slotted/drilled rotors are primarily for cosmetic purposes, they dont really improve braking much at all compared to a typical blank rotor. They apparently keep the pads cleaner but it would be hardly noticable. Some dissipate heat quicker but I've seen drilled rotors begin to crack aswell. I would only ever use slotted/dimpled myself.
