Hahaha, nice. That engineer cert would be worth its weight in gold! Might look into one if I buy that thing I showed ya
Grey are redrilled stock (jecs ?) purple are nismos http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310321&highlight=nismo .
Can't really tell you, Mart. Haven't had the chance to hold one myself. Would that rounded plastic connector on top be a clue though? Anyone? AAA
They are not oem, they have a s2 cap with an s1 body and pintle. Add said they were 550cc, no mention of nismo anywhere. They will be the refurbed and high flowed Jecs available through czp. Get them flowed to confirm what they are before fitting. Also, just fyi, not only are nismo 555 purple, so are stock s1 370cc injectors. My feeling is the nismo 555's are high flowed oem 370's. Beaten by bb, but a little more info anyway.
I dropped them off with Arvin last night, so we'll have the results soon! Little concerned about getting duped... nawww <3
holy bank balance batman! It's funny to think a car that has come so far still needs so much. well I say funny, what I mean is exhaustingly expensive. for a full list check the last page. I've got to say my favourite part of it is the brakes - they're just awesome to look at. -A
Finished testing them thoroughly. Looks like you do have 550cc injectors here, Martin. They range from 87 to 90cc/10secs... ergo, circa 540cc/min max (but that's pre-servicing). No leaks of any form. Ohm resistance reading sitting at around 11.2 to 11.9 (which is good). Minimal spray pattern issues with injectors 2 and 5. The rest flows fairly okay. Will give you the complete detailed report once I finish the whole process. They're in the "oven" now getting baked! Will get them re-tested tomorrow to see the final figures post-cleaning... AAA :zlove:
hey hey, winner! That's some good news! Thanks a heap Arvin, sigh of relief there. So they're Jecs 550's? Keenly awaiting confirmation tomorrow! Bought MOAR parts! Central20 1-piece aluminium front strut brace coming from Japan! some rusted as shit second hand fender braces too! and a concave Broadway rear view mirror! my OEM one is showing its age, and these JDM units are very cheap and provide a much larger field of vision. much better option than a new OEM! -A
Hi Anti, very jealous of all the new gear Just a question - where do you do most of your Japanese buying from? is it yahoo japan or ebay? I use generic Ebay ALOT so am interested where you source your parts from Well done on the beast so far, toughest looking zed I have seen and I really appreciate the wheel sizing in your sig as I am going through choosing atm :br:
hey thanks man check page 10 for overcoming fitment issues as well, some good info there. I use eBay a lot, but only to get stuff from aus/us/uk. my coilovers and injectors both came from eBay, as well as other parts! the rest of it is yahoo! japan. every few days I just punch in a generic search and go through all the results. nets me some pretty neat shit! http://www.importmonster.com.au/yahoo?cat=0&term=z32+-hid+-led+-tint then it's just an e-mail to Jesse streeter, who bids on them and posts them my way. i pay him. Might do a write up on how to get stuff from Japan soon 'cause people keep asking me!
Wow man hope they haven't rusted through... doesn't look too gad. Give them a clean up with the dremel and a wire brush and get some paint on there stat! There's some good rust curing/preventing paints available, take a drive down to these guys http://www.ppcco.com.au/ during the week. It's always a nice drive down mona vale road... Did you get the fitting tool as well?
gad. does he mean good, or bad? THE TENSION IS KILLING ME They look pretty gone, but I'm hoping they turn out okay. Keen to attack them with a wire brush and clean them up before hitting them with some paint, especially after cleaning up a pair of slotted rear rotors that arrived last week rusted to the shit house, but mint after an hour or two. Saves me money I so desperately need, I like the risk! ...fitting tool?
err bad. They don't look too bad. Too much writing today... There's a tool you need to fit them... one of the holes you use for install isn't threaded so there's a nut welded to a length of metal. You thread it up through the fender like the pic below... comes with the new set.
