Not fair? The poofters "artificially" increased the price in the first instance with their "World Parity on oil pricing" policy, so what's different about lowering it?
As to your point "c", fixing the price of Ozzie field fuel would cause the producers here to sell into the higher priced international market, which would in turn raise the price of what little fuel was available here because of supply-and-demand... less fuel available, higher price. PINCH MY NIPPLES, PINCH MY NIPPLES!
I was all set yesterday to call into a Safeway station and fill with 95RON instead of the usual 98RON, using a discount ticket, advertised price $1.20/litre. There were too many cars waiting (out into the street) so I gave it a miss, went into town, paid a few bills and came back a half-hour later. Price had gone up to $1.36/litre. $#@%! I'll drive round for a couple of days on the 25litres which I know is in the tank when the guage hits "E" Seriously considering having the car detuned to run on 91RON (Thank Heavens for N/A's)
I've wiped some of the cobwebs off my old camry and have been using that for daily driving. Now I just start up the zed when i want to drive like an idiot, and dont worry about wasting fuel at all!
i thouhgt of alternative energy but... i ran out of eggs and baked beans after a day of putting a straight through methane pipe into the intake to act as nos... plus my bum was stinging after it... any other ideas?
