133.1rwkw. The better question to ask in my previous thread should have been '"how much EXTRA power will my zed make?" i made an EXTRA 12rwkw which I think is quite a good result all given. Big thanks to Tom. Car drives a lot smoother and definately can feel a bit more go in it. Thoughts? Cheers Rob
it's more difficult to push the NA over 140rwkw than you'd think. you'd need to throw on nearly every bolt on possible and then tune it to run very aggresively before you'll get near that 150rwkw mark. to go past 150 the engine will need to be opened for some more work to at least the heads. IMO that's where you really need to weigh up is it worth doing.
So what do I win? Predictions: what will my NA make? Nice figure, so when are you running it down the strip? Cheers, Adaml.
Well, I don't know about the drags simply because I fly in and out on a wednesday and hence can't make it to whoopass wednesday at the motorplex Torque got a nice bump up. Haven't scanned the graph in just yet, but will try and do it soon. I hit max torque around 5000rpm and power delivery is nice and smooth. Engine might be left for a while as I need to concentrate on (in order): Brakes, body work and interior. After that, I will go back to the engine and go to the next stage: stroker kit and hi-po cams :zlove::cool2: Cheers Rob
Dyno up at PZP read a lot lower than Hyperdrives. Might have to drive in there and get them to do a run in Shootout mode to get an accurate comparison with my previous HIGHEST (not necessarily best) effort Cheers Rob
Use spray, or it will be forever slow. You'll really struggle to break the 150rwkw mark, if you do I congratulate you. But to get there you will have spent alot of dosh.
By spray I assume you mean NOS? I will not use NOS as it will no longer be an NA then will it? (chemical forced induction = not naturally aspirated). I will spend a lot of money on my car to more than just break the 150rwkw mark, but smash it Cheers Rob
Yep, that's the only way to make big power starting with an NA motor, but yes technically then it isn't NA. But good luck with it! Aslong as you're going for broke I'm sure you'll get there...eventually.
nice power output... cant wait to see the dyno graph. i'd like to see your mod list, will definatly give alot of the N/A guys here a base to go off...
Nice result outcome. Are there any other under-bonnet modifications you are going to perform (complete pulley kit, electric fan, for example, if you haven't already ?) before going ahead with the stroker kit & CAMS ? Good luck, I will be continuing my NA journey the same.
Nice result..maybe you should go to NZ, somehow they manage to pull these amazing figures outta the NAs lol
Graphs are up poeple!! First in Horesepower: And now in kW: Notice how the curve didn't change much at all even though I have noticed that the old girl is not bogging as much low down and power delivery up top is definately feeling more linear than a rush and bump affair. Peak power is being reached a little earlier in the rev range and the curve is also a little smoother, particularly around the 5000rpm mark. Cheers Rob Cheers Rob
yeah thats interesting, you can see there was huge flat spot in there before tuning between 5500-6250 rpm, which has been improved by miles.....
