which one to use

Can you explain a little more which one I should use out of the 10-40 or the 20-50.
I am in Canberra (about to move back to Melbourne though) and I have a 1989 Manual 2+2 TT. The engine has done 95,000 Ks and is fairly stock other than the boost controller that lets me run about 13psi. It's in pretty good condition and isn't often driven hard. It doesn't use oil or water or have any engine troubles.

Am I correct in assuming the 10-40 gives better performance but the 20-50 protects better????

......what you have just said, I would go for the 20W-50 giving you top performance as well as top protection I know I am terribly biassed, but it would be very difficult to beat that oil ( I now have my crash helmet on )

......however the 10W-40 is also a good oil if you do not want to pay for the extra on the 20W-50, BUT, at these prices................????????you decide

 

I would like some of the 20W50 sent to my door with the filter pleae, as well as an extra 1L bottle to take with me just in case when I do the run to Nationals at the end of the month.
