These are pretty keen prices, Folks

AmsOil is incredibly hard to get from most auto shops. Support Paul and buy this oil!!!!!!!!!!!! Very high quality. If I was asked for an opinion on what weight to select for Qld, I'd reccommend the 20W for older, unrestored engine and the 10W for rebuilt motors

The last three oil changes i have done all the oil came from Paul, top guy to deal with and Amsoil is really the best oil out there. I noticed the difference it made as soon as i started the car.
I used 20w50 for my NA, it works wonders.

    G'day mate,

I'm extremely keen on this one.

Would you (or anyone else on the forum) happen to know how this compares to elf lubricants?

    Cheers,

    I'm genuinely interested Paul

I want to know how it compares to Mobil 1's 15W-50 and Pennzoil's and Motul's range in the similar viscosities please (i.e. 10W-40, 15W-50, 20W-50)?

    Thanks :)
    Naveen.

    ...Hey Naveen......

....I am totally biassed mate.:) You shouldn't ask me you should do all your own investigation like bigbaz did, check with him, he has all:D "the good oil" :D on the subject. I have personally not used those oils, only Shell Synthetic and Redline, and I have found Amsoil to be a better oil for my own use, and that is why I started selling it. Why not browse the Amsoil website, a link from my site. Peace:zlove:

......the only negative thing about AMSOIL is that it is not as well known in this country as it is in the US, even though it has been available here for over 30 years, and was the first on the market even before Mobil launched theirs.:)

.......there are soooo many good oils to choose from, personal choice is the answer:)

    Rx7?

    I have a 300zx and I was wondering if this oil would be suitable/good for a 1984 series 2 rx7?

    ...Hey guys............!!!!!!!

......the response to this new pricing has been terrific, orders are coming in nicely, thank you:) :zlove:

.......however, at this rate we will run out of the 40 x 5L bottles we just got in:eek: So I suggest if you want some at these prices, jump in now and stock up for the future, because the Oz dollar may not be as strong next time:cool:

Would this be based on the possible hardening of the valve seals over time on the older Z's and to prevent blow-by? Just curious ......... but I like your thinking.

I too am curious as to how, in general, it stacks up against Motul. If I could ever get my hands on some(Motul), I'd give it a try although AMSOil has been available here for years as well but mostly through private distributers. Thinking serious about trying it though. :)

Could you elaborate on that "difference" and "works wonders".

......:) :) The response to this new AMSOIL pricing has been tremeandous folks:zlove: , thanks to everyone who has ordered:zlove: , we are going through it like Jack Nicholson goes through Jack Daniels;)

........AND if you ask - "who is Jack Nicholson?", you are too young:D

  20. ZX2NV

    ZX2NV Z Racing Evolution

I have been using the Motul competition 300V in my car for the past 7 months or so for road racing. I found the oil to be extremely good with zero consumption and only slight blow by at high revs. I recently went to order another case and found the prcie had jumped considerably. I went with the Amsoil 20W-50W race spec oil and tried it yesterday on the track at Oran Park. Being a thicker oil I allowed for a sufficient warm up time till my engine temp hit at least 70 degrees celcius then it was hammer time. I must admit the car used no oil and everything seemed to be just fine. When the car sits for a little while there is some seepage most likely through the valve guides which does cause a little smoke on start up when cold. The car has always done this a little with the Motul but seemed a little worse with the Amsoil. just to check I am going to run the 300V again in a few weeks at Eastern Creek and see what happens. ZX2NV is due for a plenum pull PCV replacement and hose renewal anyway so will be a good time to investigate this issue further.

At this stage the Amsoil seems to be as good and maybe better than the motul but only time will tell the true story. I will let you know after the next few track runs how it is going.

    Cheers

    Jason
