z-d .. thanks for the offer .. but all is well .. it is just a matter of me allocating the time to sort 50-60 pages, splitting into TT/NA categories, listing each methodically and submitting to k-zed and zed4life for review .. it really is down to me to pull my bloody finger out ..!! but, again, thanks heaps ....:thumbsup:

Standard Tailshaft joints. I have recently sourced a recon tailshaft from A&L tailshaft in Sydney. Nice enough guy seemed to know what he was on about... Told me the joints in the shaft were supplied by drivepro in Qld... Before going to him I found that a US company Rockford make joints to suit and may indeed be the ones supplied by drivepro. (I saw the box and it had no brand on it) N/A joint 430-12 TT joint 430-12A Check out: http://www.rockforddriveline.com/Staked%20Ujoints.PDF Note these joints use a snap ring in around the cup, meaning that the cup wall has to be quite thick to accomodate the ring groove. This results in the cup inside diameter and therefore the bearings and cross being smaller and weaker than the standard joints.
thanks for that quinny .. today was designated as "THE CONSOLIDATION" day for the list .. that, however has been right royally stuffed by the kindergarten in cyberspace ...!!!
This guy is also compliling a list, may be willing to colaborate... http://www.pcug.org.au/~jdeakins/facts.html
Tailshaft and centre bearing A&L Drive shafts ( Campsie NSW ) 0297871655 will supply centre bearings for about $70.00 . They will replace uni joints for $110.00 each . Will be doing mine next week .
Barry I've been replacing all my rubber "stuff" mostly in the engine bay and I wanted to replace the brake vaccuum hose with something that has the same dimensions as the Zed so that I could reuse the clips and the rubber shielding hose that goes over the vaccuum hose. After a lot of searching I found that the hose that GM used on their VH Commodores was identical. The part number is ... GM-7437282. I paid $9.35 for the part and it was easily enough for both sections (either side of non-return valve). Looking forward to your final set-up. Cheers. Clive.
baz is the king group buy man now... cut him a bit of slack... everything you need is in this post anyway
