The pair I'm about to fit to my turbo oil lines are thick rubber on the inside, silicon on the outside if that makes any difference. might be the same here?

the stock metal o/return pipe will bolt up on those turbos, I'd use those instead of the ones you have.

 

where did you get these rubber/silicone ones from .?

They have supposedly rectified the silicone sweating problem by making them with a fluorine liner on the inside now .
These are on my car and will see how they go .
Coz sells them

edit : if they sweat I'll go with what Beaver posted if they fit or make some up.

At this time ALL of Z1 silicone hoses intended for use with oil or ATF have the fluorosilicone lining. Please contact us regarding this issue. We cannot correct anything until you contact us."

Hopefully they will be good will be a pain changing them with the engine in

 

So the silicone hose is a bit average. Not really happy with it.

Problem with using the stock pipes is that the pipe doesn't clear the compressor housing so I will have to use a spacer or bash the oil return flat, then its to low so has to be bent back up and probably trimmed shorter as well.

The z1 oil lines you linked BB are just stock pipes that have the holes drilled out more so they can bolt to the BB turbo.

I'm pretty sure my flange/pipes that bolt to the turbo is straight and not bent like yours which will give it more clearance by fitting at a different angle ?

 

It would foul on the steering uni joint if was straight and would be on the wrong angle to go back to the sump. Are you using the Z1 or CZP silicone hoses? I think I might make a spacer and use a stock pipe.

It would work how it is but I don't want to risk it rubbing through.

Edit. thanks for the link Rob I might buy that instead of making one. I seem to have lost my flywheel bolts so need to make an order.

 

I had the z1 and then the czp one and both have straight pipe

I changed because the original z1 didn't have the internal liner.

it will clear because hose goes over the pipes up to the bolts and bend will clear

this might help ,with engine out but I had no probs engine went straight in .

 

Your silicone hose looks like it has a bigger kink in it, mine is only short so doesn't go around PS lines if that makes sense. Cheers for the pic, might have to get some czp hoses.

ps nice collection of cams.

 

Decided I don't want to wait for delivery of new parts, so made my own spacer using the flange of an old oil return pipe made my own gaskets as well. Had to bend it up about an inch and cut 15mm off the end but I'm happy with it now.

Got it from Speciatly Zed. Made after ordering, doesn't look like they have them listed on their website anymore?

The Morosso one EPRacing sell looks good as well but costs a lot more.

I really like those engine mounts - look like they fix the problem of getting a front pipe to bigger turbos with lots of space available.

 

Got her started today only took a couple of cranks. Oil pressure is good, idling a bit high but haven't got any belts on it. Still heaps of work to do but should be on the road sooner than later.
