Who cares if it's NA or not? It was designed how it was designed. You didn't mention that it's half a litre bigger than the vg30dett. Or the fact it was designed much later.

McLaren F1 is NA also, BMW M5 is NA as well. What's NA or Turbo got to do with anything?

I dont see why he couldent mount it lower maybe if he trimmed the mounts, its not like the bell housing is going to fowl hmm maybe it is done like that to save modding the shifter linkages.

I suppose displacement does nothing either? I guess if you want to spend tens of thousands of dollars so you can get a vq35 and drop it into your 300zx and have a slower car after all that, by all mean, go right ahead. Why not make it front wheel drive while you're at it?

no really. Im sorry. I forgot the whole 350z vs Z32 argument from before which you won (im not joking, I forgot about that and the outcome)

I keep making the mistake of thinkings "350z = NA so Z32 NA vs 350z is a fair comparison.... but what if the 350Z had turbos"

I forgot that the normal comparison is just 350z vs Z32TT

As you know I really dont know much about engines (again, no joke or sarcasm) so I guess it's my bad for not realising that having TT's on a 3 Ltr, is a fair comparison to just having 3.5 litres but no turbos.

Saying .5 of a litre is ALMOST as good as having 2 turbos stuck on

I'd have not made that assumption and that's my bad.

I still find the whole transplant idea intesresting BUT I would (as I said before) want to ALSO add a Supercharger OR TT's.

But (as I also said before), you'd then have to cost comparison that against other options, such as just doing a VG30DETT rebuild, or a V8 swap of some sort.
