There's more Z31 300ZX owners on here than Z33/Z34. We don't have a dedicated section for them - The change just isnt warranted. Someone should create aus350z.com and not tarnish our forum!
as much as alot of you guys dont like hardtuned.net it does work. theyhave the classifieds, the general discussion section, a section for each state and territory and then depending on which site your on there is a (insert car type here) section which includes the tech, tech articles, general discusion about the car itself... it pretty much covers everything you would need for the specific car in one section and then shares the general sections through out the whole network. surely if a sister site was made up we could share our for sale sections, general discussion and coming events sections. eventually someone will start up a 350z forum for australia, why not link it to an already established zed forum to get the members up and to spread the word around. who knows, the owner of this sight may see it as another oportunity to make money out of a forum... take the chance while you can i think.
My thoughts exactly as Chilis. The 350Z, 370Z are nice but the Z32TT is a completely different beast for the following reasons. - Easy power scalability (The go fast gear is already there) - Targa roof - changes the driving ambience/experience - Agressive stance (Low and wide which also helps with handling) - Superb luxury (What more is there? Arm rests on chairs?) - Road presence (Does not look like a VW) The new Z's are nice but remind me of when Ford lost the plot in the design of the Mustangs in the 80's & 90's. Nice now that they are new, once they age, nice for the tip. I don't see the new Z's having a cult following. The New GTR will most likely end up having a cult following much like the 300ZX & TT is now when they become affordable for the masses. The reason being is that it is an awesome platform to begin with. Just like the GTRS prior to it. But still has its flaws like no targa roof and stripping the engine to do maintenance on the bores every 100K. Arrrghhhh. - no way. Peter
