Ahhh, a fair point. I guess my point was a little too general, but I meant it in a slightly different context. My assumption was that most original owners of 350z's were not necessarily enthusiasts of the same type as an older 2nd hand model enthusiast is. For instance, I'd be happy driving my new 350z with my factory warranty and all of that, concerned only by when I should have a minor service, etc. The nitty gritty stuff happens after all of that, for most people, as the car starts getting older.. The non-warranty repairs, mods, etc.. thats when a community is more important. I think.
a broader zed community is something i also want to see but i dont beleive this forum is the one to do it on, we are the 300zx forum, nothing more nothing less........... i do beleive that "every type of zed in australia" forum would be cool, but attracting members is the challenge.......... as some wa members will be aware, with the recent cruise "hillside slides" i asked some other z clubs along and we had about 10 non-z32 zeds come along, which was great, really mixed it up and added to the whole event.........i will most likely invite the others along on other cruises i organise in future as well, and i would even recomend it to the eastern states guys and gals cause for us it worked out really well and i see no reason why it wouldnt work over wherever else its tryed anyway, thats my 2 cents lol
exactly. this is AUS300 not aus350. maybe you all should try nissansilvia, now catering for everything because we've renamed to hardtuned.

Yep and yep. After much thought and debate in my own mind and with others, I think all that is probably required is just more "inter forum communication" let each forum have its own are of expertise. Stick to what we're good at, and let those with the interest and inclination bridge the gaps with the other "clubs". I note www.auszcar.com caters for the Datsun 240/260 owners community Aus wide, so there's a start. I also note THEY got to do a Photoshoot with the New 370z as part of the pre-release marketing campaign not us
Nice ride... always loved the 350Z, I'm still not certain the Z34 is an improvement aesthetically. Don't think we need a new section... if you got a problem just post up in Z-related, people in the know generally know engines not just VG30's. What colour? I love the blue personally. WILL .. i reckon that you should get onto my old friend .... 300zxt (eeekkk!!!) ....he abused me as not a real commited 300zx owner on the grounds that i was not a member of the Zcar Club ... (still trying to work that one out ...!!).. reckon that he would jump on board a new forum incorporating the 350/370Z ... he must be missing the opportunity to argue with all and sundry ...
I was born wearing a flame suit. Subsequently I was wearing one when I typed that. :zlove: While another category(Zed but not Z32 related) could be beneficial by helping aus300 expand, it would be too difficult (and clearly unwelcome haha by many members) to moderate and too hard to make it blend with the rest of the categories. As far as expansion goes, I think the first step would be to get our garages back up and running.
lol i remember that whole argument. He also accused me and others on pretty much the same grounds lol (lack of knowledge of OTHER zed cars) However I will say this, he DID open my eyes to how little I knew about the Zed car history and that made me brush up as much as I could. The result: I now have a HUGE appreciation for where our cars came from AND for where they are going. :zlove: From what I can make out, the Zed Car Club is aimed at 240/260's and nothing else anyway. I'm going to join simply because that's what interests me. Seeing the Zed community come together. No other reason and not something "everyone" has to, or would want to do.

i agree a broader zed community would be good, but this is def not the forum to do it on, there is to meny ill mannered z32 fanboys on here that could not just simply alow there "home" invaded by z33 owners
I wouldnt mind if a 350/370 section was created. I doubt the site would be flooded with non-zed ethusiast if it happened, and those members who chose to "upgrade" could continue to converse here.
