i back these hoods up!

bought one off him from ebay atleast 6 months ago, installed it with a RSM cos my tomei dash is was (and still is) screwing up.

these looks sweet and solve the problem of where to put gauges etc.

i also promised him id put photos up.. but then my Z went to creatD and sat there for 4 months.

if u can wait a day i HAVE to go take photos of the build at Jap ware house tomorrow, so i'll make sure i take some interior shots of the gauge holder.

..but other than that... BUY THEM, theyr GOOD!

 

I haven't read anywhere where anyone is having any doubts.

The guy I have making these is jerking me around with completion times. I have sent a pm and offered a refund to anyone who has already paid until I am 100% ready to post them out.

The weather up here may have played a part in it but regardless, they will be done.
I just can't give an accurate date at the moment.

Unfortunately there has been nothing but problems with this latest lot of gauge hoods being made.

These began when the initial completion date for 4 complete gauge hoods was to be 2 weeks and turned out to be 3 and a half. Then I had only just sent off the first 2 and when I take number 3 out of the bubble wrap 2 days later to check before I post it, there are bubble wrap marks all over it. Apparently the paint wasn?t completely dry when they were given to me.

So the 2 that were already posted are returned and I take a day off work to paint and prep them myself as I don?t want to have to wait another week.
Then I got curious and checked the dimensions of the face plates. They were wrong. So I took another day off and with the weekend made 6 new correct face plates myself.

Curiosity got the better of me again and I made a template of the contour of the 300zx dash. No prizes for guessing there were more problems. 3 out of the 4 were not correct on one side.

Frustration has gotten the better of me and I have taken everything including the templates I had used, back the guy manufacturing these. A 2 piece mould is used and we spent an hour or so going over the procedure used to make these and made a few changes.

He told me I could come back next week and he would have 4 good ones ready to go. I really can?t see this happening with the way things have gone.

I don?t want to see these again unless they are perfect.

At this point I want to fully refund everyone who has paid. The refund will include all postage costs. Please pm me with your bank details so as I can make the transfer.

This has not happened as smooth as it should have and to drag it out will only make the situation worse and frustrate me to infinity plus 1.

It would be much better to start again fresh when I have the finished products in my hands and I will contact everyone again then to see if you are still interested.

If he gets some done as he says in the next week or so , im prepared to wait a bit longer mate if thats ok.

I want to know who made the panel around the display that is so cleanly integrated into the stereo surround. ???

And ball park $ figure.

 

Anyone seen jasonic around? He STILL hasn't reimbursed me for the faulty gauge hood I sent back to him. I've emailed him etc, but nothing.

I emailed him too , weeks ago and still nothing in reply.
