I remember you had your sons 180 to flog around in at the skidpan day etc so you saw a little action along the way. I am having HUGE withdrawals at the moment and may need to satisfy my hunger for track time sooner rather than later. Now where is that Trading Post
Found the Problem With the gear shifts, just pulled the gear lever out, two probs 1/ there was no nut on the support bracket tying it to the holder bracket so it had dropped down onto the tailshaft, 2/ the two bushings that go either side of the collar on the control lever are missing (don't ask me) so the bolt and collar were just flopping around in there. So there's my excuse for going straight from 2nd to 5th. Just ordered new parts so will be up and away again soon.
I have a spare bush kit if if you want it Ron I ordered it with my new assembly then found out it came with it aswell. No use to me
Fantastic effort Ron(I couldn't be happier if I did it myself). Can't think of anyone who deserves it more than you. Perhaps you can now find time to socialize with us again?:zlove::zlove:
Massive congrats Ron, that's more like the times I always thought your new motor should be laying down. Extremely quick times! Well done:zlove:
Thanks Dub And the rest of you guys, Car has definately got an 11 in it just got to get every thing hooked up right, Easier said than done though.
Main thing it Does Karl is let you dial up as many revs as you want on the start line. Shows in the 60' times, best auto was 2.1, now 1.6 with manual. you lose out at the other end though with slower gear changes.
i'll second your WOOOOHHOOOO!!!!!! As you said - first time down at the track and ran a 12.9 PUMPED!!!!!! i think i got about 11 runs in altogether mate, couldn't beleive my luck! Looking forward to getting back down there soon with some better tyres and hopefully run a quicker time  Congrats on your time too!!! Hopefully ill be at the creek when you break into 11's....
Hey Pete Good to see you turned up , lots of friendly natives on here to help with any queries you have. check out the tech section, comes in very handy. send Fleet a copy of your time slip from WSID and he will include it on the 300 drag list See here. http://www.pexcom.com/forum/httpdocs/Draglist/draglist.htm congrats on your time, quite an achievement getting into the 12's at your first attempt.
MPH awesome - thanks for that will do.... quick question - my MPH was 109.55 and i've been told that i should be able to run a much better time .... how does that work exactly? the guy i spoke to confused me!!! obviously the higher MPH you have the quicker your time right? so i don't really understand what he meant....
Not necessarily Mph is about right for the time you run. the longer you are out there the more speed you build up. So its possible with a quick 60 footer to get to the end quicker and not build up as much speed, if that makes sense.
