Contact Seaton Engineering (08) 9409 6935. They are in Landsdale

They should be able to sort you out. These guys are legends and make all sorts of adapters and custom parts. If they can't buy the bolts they would probably make them :)

Thanks, I'll give them a call. In Landsdale too, that's more like it! :D

me, I'm an engineer! haha nah, I haven't contacted anyone yet but the DoT guys gave me a list of consulting engineers that are able to write up a report for me. I'll be getting it looked over in November, that's when I have annual leave from work and finish exams at uni.

    Small update

Contacted Xcessive, and they agreed to sell me just the flywheel spacer and the longer flywheel bolts... so my search is over :)
and gonna try their smaller P/S pulley before having to resort to electric P/S.

Also went to Northside Nissan (Wangara) today to order some service parts for the VH. Timing chains are expensive  I might just stick with the ones I have now :D
Here is a short list of some service part numbers for the VH45DE with a price guide:
Camshaft timing chain... 13028-60U00... $203.52 EACH!
    Oil pump chain... 15041-60U00... $98.44
    Front main seal... 13042-13C60... $21.98
    Rear main seal... 12279-AD205... $75.42

Buy the timing chain kit off ebay US. $250 posted for all new chains and guides.

Front oil seal can be had from local bearing shop for about $5.

Rear main is the same as VG30.

I thought Anton bought the timing chain kit off ed300zx when he sold it years ago?

make sure you include metal backed timing guides, as the early full plastic version ones do break apart.
Mark at MRC is using my crappy unmoved engine and as a twin turbo it is making pretty good power even though it is down on compression for some cylinders and looked like it had never had a service in its life prior. These engines are very well engineered.

Alright I'll buy it off eBay instead thanks :D
Anton did buy the timing chain kit with metal backed guides but had found the motor already had metal backed guides. So he sold them I'm pretty sure. I don't have a timing chain kit anyways... This was an older series motor as well, and they also used fully synthetic oil so it was taken care of very well!

Thank you USPS... Xcessive parts arrived today

Steel header flanges, flywheel spacer & finally 10.9 bolts! They're the normal type cap screws without the little flange though but they come with washers.

Look at this PHAT mofo! 15mm thick :D

Countdown now... a fortnight til annual leave which means VH on the road time! Also means exam time though :(

are the washers 10.9 as well, otherwise it will just crush/destroy the washers then your in trouble....

Yeah I would help they are high tensile as well lol, otherwise people using their kit would have complained already... they do have special markings on them which is kind of reassuring :p

    needs some red locking nuts

Caliper clearance is really minimal at the front. I hope Hukie doesn't experience problems with his 9.5+22... should be okay though I think since he has the 18s.

    Damn right they are

I get paid tomorrow so I can order some rubber. Then I'll be able to dial up some camber and drop it on its arse. Going with Feds SS595 like what I had on my 5zigens, decent grip and relatively hard-wearing for sliding :D
Set of 235/35R19 & 265/30R19 $698 + $115 shipping from option1garage! Decided against the KU31s since the rear set alone would have cost me that much.

Moving the operation to Aidan's place, as parents are getting really pissy about the Z and parts taking up their garage space... It's also easier for me to come down to his place rather than vice versa :)

Looking good there, I deffinately think you would have been better of with the 9.5" +22, would have still been hanging on the guards with a 265 and minimal camber.

my old zed is looking less and less like my old zed :( :p Wheels look great! hope you dont have to run camber at too hectic levels to make them fit though...

  19. ichizora

9.5+12 fits pretty much flush at the front :p
The 10.5+22 is perfect for me though... yes a less aggressive offset would've fitted out of the box but I want some stance (fit the car to the wheels :D)

hehe no more time attacks... GT-T wing + brazilian, no more AGX/Eibach, no more VG, even the brakes are gonna change :p
I'm gonna run about -2deg at the rears after a roll and a little pull so not too hectic there, fronts don't need much at all...
