it seems to me , that you were calling him out ,,,,, work together to get a better result... peoples mistakes lead other in a better direction ( building an engine ) remember that ............( NOT that mark has ) he;s done very well if i may ,, can i ask in what way have you prepared your car for the dyno tune ?? what have you done to ensure everything is ready?? I'm not trying to bust you man ,,, but there is MANY steps you need to take before any tuning gets done .....( keep in mind a tuner will take you money ) if your engine is not 100% ( give or take ) this is what you will be tuning to
at least i dont drive my car like a fkn girl ,as far as beating every t/t on the forum, get off your pedestal Mark,i never claimed that As far as not turning up to events, yeah, driving around witches hats and going on circuits with total novices at the same time really interests me lol
That just goes to show that he is a wise guy loves his car and respects it driving a car like a maniac ....well i dont wana go there :stupid:
so says the man who took his power steering out to save weight ,nice to see youre back, weve missed you lol
calm down simon.. or did I hit too close to the mark with my comments?? you can drive your car however you want, but I quite like driving my car like a "****ing girl"...... rather than engaging in dangerous and possibly illegal and irresponsible driving on the road risking my life or someone elses.... If I had a desire to go nuts, I would rather do it on a track with other racers, rather than at night on the black spur, driving like a dickhead. At least that way, I would also have proof of my skill in the form of a timeslip or a grid placement, rather than just words on a forum. As for the track events that you claim are full of "novices"..... firstly, if you ever bothered to sign up and participate in such an event, you would see that there are in fact quite seasoned drivers there, who could show you a thing or two about racing and driving. Actual enthusiasts who enjoy their motor sport and are willing to fork out the cash and time to do it responsibly. I'm not talking about fun days like Deca, I mean proper race events that are held quite regularly by different motoring organisations. Oh but thats right, they're novices...... why on earth would you want to ever race against them??? You sure its me that needs to come off the pedestal??..
i see what your saying there but i will say this, robs owned this car from dead stock to where it is today, and it has never been more ready to hit the dyno than it is now.....trials and tribulations have been encountered and overcome, thats for sure though...... if it goes bang well thats always the risk, but the backbones of what he needs is there for the dyno tune, and it really is the next sensible step for rob and his car as for dyno figures/track times/drag times, we all know that they are just bragging rights, but they do provide a "point of reference" because otherwise we would just argue continuosly over whos cars faster or better or whatever we are all enthusiasts and these tests, tunes, cruises and drag days are for some of us, all part of the experience .....sure some of us dont do one or all of these things, but it doesnt make them any less worthwhile doing anyways, thats my 2 cents.... lazyzed, good luck on the dyno mate, and let me know how it goes!!!
As I said i the initial post, I have replaced the wiring harness, put in a series 2 PTU, had a full 200k serivce (SUPERB work done by Tom :zlove, new o2 sensors, new knock sensor in stock location etc.. Anything else you can think of that should be replaced? I know the TPS, CAS, CTS etc.. are all in good knick. Code 55 = all clear Cheers Rob
it wont help you on the dyno rob, but when you hit the drags next, a sensible sized driver will definately save you a few 10ths:zlove:...hehehe
Yeah, I am a big bastard (all 130kg) so anytime I make has to have that handicap taken into account Either that or salad it up for a few months and drop some pounds Cheers Rob
lol...good luck with it all, keep us up to date, I'm interested in seeing the result..and did you know my zed is the slowest on the forum ROFL...can anyone beat my slowness hehehe.. I'm finally happy with the cosmetic side of my car now, so my next plan is increasing the power to the best I can with my NA (well at least bring my zeds power up to at least stock) ..hahahah..
OK good man ... i HIGHLY recommend doing , 2 more things ,, on the day of your tune . these 2 things will play a big part with your tune ... one is to give it a boost check the day before the tune , make 100% sure there is NO leak in the system .. ( this will affect the tune ) ... the day before your tune ,, go waist ALL your fuel and put 30 40 $ of new fresh fuel on the day .. with the boost leak you do it the day before so your 100% sure there is no leaking .. clean the shit out of everything ,, pod, T/B . everything you can .. this will ensure that your in a good position to start with . check your water oil , everything you can .... good luck .. all this stuff should be done before any tuning takes place ...
Hey guys, as promised a while ago heres my dyno sheet. All dyno records are kept at Dyno Power, so Im sure if you contact the owners that they can verify that the run is legit (each to their own for those who still thinks its a fake though). [/IMG] Did you dyno your car yet LazyZed? If so, what did you make in the end? My next set of mods have all arrived and are neatly sitting in boxes waiting to be installed including 58mm T/B's, alloy 2.5" piping for custom dual intake, 2 big arse pod filters, 56mm TT radiator, ECU emulator (for custom tuning of stock ECU), laptop for the Z, full set of polyurethane bushes for the rear, rear adjustable camber arms and a number of other smaller items to make the build work. Im still aiming for 200rwkw, fingers crossed Ill reach this after the next build.
Any reason for being on the defensive straight away? lol So this is an NA eh? What mods? Edit: My bad, just saw this http://www.300zx.co.nz/phpBB2/garage.php?mode=view_vehicle&CID=8 I might have to call bullshit on the torque though, 535nm?
I just looked at the overall list, there's definately something fishy going on with the dyno you guys are using... 1 Mad Mike 1992 Nissan 300ZX TT Dr Repower, Tauranga 406.20 wheel 1235.00 wheel 20.50 PSI 0 5800 1235.00 Nm equals 910.94 ft.lbs with just 406.20kw? That's more torque than the 700rwkw Electramotive GTP ZX-Turbo! lol
