I would have had lightweight wheels by now if someone was willing to ship them instead selling them local ah well, will get a set when I can afford to, but that is a low priority atm. The main interest in the tune for me is making sure that the car is running efficiently. Cheers Rob
not a zed diff... something aftermarket with better ratios... no offence mate... i havnt been the same since i downgraded to a 4cyl but i found a s14 with a single turbo VG30DETT in it today... so i've got some plans for my POS s13
Better ratio's? 4.3 GTR diff? Wouldn't call that better... I reckon your Z will make 0kw, grenade on the dyno. Aren't I the optimist...
Long term, I am chasing JEDI-77's power figure and Tranys's drag time. In the meantime I just want to get the zed to a point where I can mechanically leave it alone and concentrate on the interior and get the body resprayed, ie pretty it up :zlove: After that, wild cams, aggresive timing and tune + (eventually) stroked engine rebuild (probably 3.3L) Cheers Rob
good luck rob. i reckon 140 only because.. thats what i'll get i think, and ive done most / if not all of what you have so far. except i have a 2.5" exhaust... just got to install them while my plenums off as well as other engine shit all the best anyways! kindest regards. rod.
144 with peak torque between 450-500. My NA was last dyno'd at 184rwkw, stock ECU (chipped) all NA bolt-ons and internals havent been touched yet. Next load of mods will hopefully see 204rwkw. Go the NA's
haha that was quickly said, the dyno was done just before I went overseas where I am now so I havent posted that up yet (will do that as soon as I get back to NZ), the mod list is on my NZ300ZX club site garage, the dyno before that one was 162rwkw which I think I can find a post for. next mods include custom dual intake, 58mm t/b's, ECU emulator as well as some suspension work, plenum work and some maintainance. Ill have a look for some links. Based on the power lazyzed has and the mods he has, with good timing and a good tune in the 140's is realistic I think.
well you knew it was coming ,ill have a peak on your forum, got a link or are you playing hard to get lol yours would be quicker than some of the t/t's here roflmao
http://www.300zx.co.nz/phpBB2/garage.php?mode=view_vehicle&CID=8 http://www.300zx.co.nz/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3737&start=0 haha yeah I guess it was coming. here are some links, sux the dyno sheet isnt here, but I have got it! Quicker than some TT's here too. 300hp is my goal, after that......well......more naturally
Thats always the arguement I guess, there are several members in the NZ club who were there on the day to confirm it, but Ill post the dyno sheet in Sep when I get back anyhow. Theres one other NA guy who has something like 193rwkw, more modified than mine by far, its quite a beast. I think when I got my car I started with something like 124rwkw, the next dyno was at 144, then 162, 168 and now 184. 204 will be hard but exciting, NA's are so under-rated!
i looked at your link, but its pretty vague with the mods... basically exhaust 2 and 1/4 in size and pulleys.. thats all that stood out.. i miss something here?
only by t/t bunnies who have never owned one let alone driven one,but when they get spanked in the twisties, they soon learn lol
Vague? Its a full list of mod's, like my first post states, its got pretty much all the bolt ons....and thats it. lightened flywheel/driveshaft, pod filter, full lightened pully set, elec fan, chipped stock ECU, headers, exhaust, advanced timing. So I'm not sure what you are getting at......no-one has to believe it, I'm just sharing my results is all.
i didnt once say i didnt believe you. so dont all up and anty bro. what am i getting at? nothing.... just thats a good figure for pretty basic mods thats all. so if you got 184 rwkw's, what do you think lazy zed is going to get?
