It's all good, Jason. I don't give a stuff about who thought of what, first(let's just find Sean a turbo, or two, and get him back up and running). I have a couple here, but they need serious rebuilding before you would put them into a car, and that costs $1000-$1500 minimum. Save the Fate of Fate's Zed.:zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove:
The poor bugger you know I feel for him so anything we can do is a good thing I think. I will put $100 towards the Save the Fate of Fate's Zed Appeal as long as he keeps it till he is old and withered
Sean, what are we going to do for a "Hitman" now? I mean, at $50, you were good value! Sorry to hear that "MAF14" has finally got the better of you, but maybe with some decent turbos, you'll learn to love her again. I only met you once (Coonabarabran), but you seem to be quite a character... just the type we need in the Zed community. And what are the Jenga fans gonna do now, if you leave? All the best, whatever your decision!
Sorry to hear that you're having mechanical troubles again I'd be up for an engine pull and refit of stock turbos, can't be that hard If you part out the beast out I'm interested in the gearbox, exhaust and front bar
If I was in Qld I'd help ? Sorry about this fate, if I was in queensland I'd think it was a great idea for the responsible, mature and civic minded QLD members to try to help out and get your car on the road so you could get a proper price for it, ..... there again I could also just hijack your thread, kick you when you appeared down and helpless, have a quick [ 2 secs is my max ] w@nk about my superior knowledge on all things Nissan, post a few more times after being warned publicly, and then disappear - yes I think I'll do that instead I'm just that type of guy    ahhh- if only there were more people in the world like me - what a better place it would be ----- gotta run now mummy's just made my hot milo drink for me seriously, find a donor 2nd hand turbo, do quick paint job, and then have a think about it. cheers
sorry to hear sean, but all taht really needs to be done is engine in and out, and bolt on a pair of good condition stockies.. the forum has already offered to help you with doing that.. cant see it costing over $500?.. def wont get 13k for a a 300zx with a broken turbo, its a buyers market.. the car may be worth 13k as is to you and some others, but not to the lad with 13k in his pocket and no extra cash to buy new turbos.
LOL send them to me And if you think you are the hoon, come on a mountain run with us and see if you can keep up
Much Appreciation As you could only imagine i'm spending most of my day thinking about how I am in fact going to solve this problem. I feel as though I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Weighing up my options I still don't even know which direction would be best. The replies and feedback that this forum has and continues to provide is overwhelming and somewhat surreal. I just wish that I could give back as much as i've been given over the years. I desperately want to keep my zed and return her to the former glory she once held. I'm just not sure that I can keep doing this mentally and I know that I can't keep doing this financially. I appreciate all feedback and am open to opinions and considerations. Just wish I had a black and white answer to get me through this one, unfortunately I don't . Thanks Fate
What first attracted u to the z ? if it still holds true then u have ur answer ..... many ppl are willing to to help u out if....u still feel the same way about ur z? united we stand ,this is an icon in the making (z32tt) If u still dont feel the same ....move on Regards, Trev
Spot on Trev 300zxTT just like a Unicorn a magical fabled creature. Plus it just wouldnt be the same place without you Sean
Owning a zed is certainly an emotional ride for most owners. One-day pure joy and exhilaration, next day for reasons known or unknown the scales tip, and down we go. How many times a person can handle that situation should be left up to that individual. If you want to give it one more try Sean, ill through a little help your way, no probs there bud! "I desperately want to keep my zed and return her to the former glory she once held":zlove:
OK, so I think it's on, so where do we do it, do we pile down to Sean's place, do it there, or bring Sean's car to where the tools and expertise are? This all being with Sean's permission? Another consideration would be to the other mechanical work Sean had done, as this may void warranty from recent work etc etc. If we can fix, I definitely want to be involved in any way that I can. Who has an engine crane/stand, Baron? Who loves pulling engines, AZA? We can do this!!!!
dreamers keep dreaming n/a boys :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
i'll donate to this fund mate!! if you get it up and running i'm sure plenty of members will!!... just for you Sean. Even if it doesnt get you much... it sure should help. Only if your gonna keep her though...
