All of those cars mentioned I would wager with exception to one would have at a minimum 275 width rear tires ?

yes, compare that 225 even 245 for the US market.....

There is no black magic here. Throw 200HP extra with fats on the ZTT and a race logic traction control and its gotta be a 3-4 second car. I mean why not?
Also Provided it is tuned with Toshi.

A stage 3 Ztt would be more than enough. At least for most people, myself included.
Anything more than that is....no need to say anymore.

Also anything with a top speed over 300km/hr is WTF. I mean WHY??? The most my Z has seen is 220. Briefly.
Its stupid. Hence the reason why they diserve the title stupidcar.

I really need to come for a drive down the hill one day and have a look at your Z. I never see it around?

    I only have 285's, when I really need 310's, I'm selling up, can't compete with measured john home's style 13 incher. :(:D

So you show a compressor inlet in perspective by placing it next to a cold can.

Dish can be shown in perspective compared to the width of a $$ note.

Thanx for pointing out how to show wheel width in perspective ;)

I had limited budget and built best I could for the money . I dont have more to spend and If I did I would spend it on something else .

What you see as a true member, I see as narrowminded and missing out on much better alternatives. I've had zeds for the last 7 years, I've spent countless hours in them, under them and around them. I've been up and down the east coast from Melbourne to Townsville to attend tech days and cruises. I've actually got a trophy sitting on the book case behind me as an appreciation award from the forum. I still reckon I'm a true member.

Haha, good point Mikey. I will never get my money back either, but that's the way it is. I haven't got the time or space for too many toys. I think 1 toy car will do me at a time. Go and buy your GT3 already Mikey.

    I was similar, couldn't afford a Supra, didn't fit in a RX7 and the Porsche 944 Turbo's were pricey.

Going from 0 to 100 is only 5% of the story. If that's all I wanted I would go and buy an R1 and go up and down the highway all day. Modern day sports cars are amazing and have progressed so far over the last 2 decades. Andy was several seconds a lap faster in his standard S5 Audi than his heavily modified Z. Kind of surprised he hasn't chucked in his $0.02 yet (maybe the cannibals found him :p) Go and jump in a 135i or a Evo 9 and go for a fang through the mountains.

Spending the best part of $100k on a toy can only be passion. I know I should go and buy another house, but hey, I can sleep in a car :p

And I'll just leave these here

But Chrispy for $30K I could build a Z32 that would destroy any of those cars in terms of bang for buck, hell even a $15K Z32 build would smash them in bang for buck comparisons.

Then if you switch off all the electronic assistance BS in the Porsche and the BMW the Z32 would beat them outright.

The Lotus - now that's a mans sportscar in the sense that it is very simple and very capable BUT it's a girls car because it's so damn small & any decent sized guy looks like a dork climbing out of one

Aside from the questionable looks of a 370z I bet with only a small budget for mods it would destroy all three you have pictured :zlove:

I've got a Z I'm stripping and a motor sitting here that needs to be pulled apart and rebuilt. So plenty of work to be done here!

Shall send you a pm in the coming days, I have a tendency to send pm's a few days before I get drunk, then get replies when I'm drunk and forget to reply :p

I really like the styling on the Z34... Seems a more natural progression from the S30

FAR better than the 350Z that's for certain but I feel/hope there is one more step to be taken and we will finally have another Z series car worth going silly over :D

Z35 - I have my fingers crossed in the hope it does what the Z32 did :zlove:
(though I'm not a moron and am not holding my breath  )

I don't think the bang for buck is what I'm really aiming at here. You probably could make a Z go around a track faster for less money, but it would be a pig. It would also take a gun driver, which to be completely honest I'm not... My old Evo 7 was quicker than any zed I came across in the mountains, that was stock as a rock. Only thing quicker than that was a Evo 9 and 10 :p

And my zed is a pig already and is awkward to get around in. It gets stuck in car parks, I can't drive along half the streets near my house because of the speedbumps and something always needs fixing.

It is hilarious watching me get in and out of an Exige. But it's a happy place inside, nothing like looking out the rear view mirror and only seeing intercooler lol!!

I'm not impressed with the 370Z, I've been in BlueZ's one a couple of times (on street and the track) and it was just a bit meh. The old man's 335i is much nicer. I wouldn't get rid of the Z32 for a Z34.
