The board was originally set up for the VH45. This was the base tune put on, we thought we might be able to chuck it straight into the Z32 ECU and have it work as they are both type 2 boards. It worked fine on the VH, and with a chipped Z32 ecu it connected fine too. I would say 99% it is the base tune effecting it.

Ah ok that makes sense now!

Let me know how you go tuning the latency for those JECS injectors. I have to fiddle with mine as I believe it is what is causing my car to miss however I don't have any clear direction at the moment other than trial and error, will be checking timing next week too.

I will watch your vid when I get home and see if yours has a similar miss, can't view it at work :(

This is the other thread where I was asking about latency / dead time.

    clicky

Maybe it will be helpful or maybe you could help me I don't know haha. I will be having a go next week at playing with the latency.

Since some people were bitching about me starting a build thread for the Evo 5 without updating this one here we are :p

Exhaust has been done by Exotic Exhaust in Sumner Park. Twin 2.5" from dumps back, stainless steel and mandrel bent. I supplied the mufflers and it only came to $450ish for the whole lot  They are pretty anal about getting it done right, done some pretty flash cars including a new R8, several new M3's, Tuan's 670awhp evo manifold and exhaust and a ton of other fancy stuff.

It's at Eric's now and should have the RWC any minute, got all the insurance stuff sorted yesterday, and will take it to QLD Transport for rego today if all goes well :D

    :br:

That's bloody cheap? A full custom exhaust minus the mufflers for only $450!

Agreed! I have a mate who owns/runs an exhaust shop and I am supplying dumps and exhaust is already fitted and for twin 2.5" and hiflow cats he said $900!

What cats you get in that $450?

I also supplied the cats. I stuck my head under it today and they reused my bits of pipe from the rear mufflers with the 2 bends in it. So really only did dumps to the diff. Still happy with it, sounds awesome :D

Took it to QLD transport for rego, drives real nice. Smooth, no drone, seats are perfect. Way comfier than my standard Evo 7. Diff is clunky though, to be expected with that evil LSD. BOV's are stupid loud too  Might have to change them.

Had everything ready for rego, all the stupid bits of paper and inspection certificates etc. But then they said as I had a mod plate for the V8 I need another one to say I put the VG back in  Which is the opposite to what the mod department told Eric yesterday  It's back at Eric's now waiting for the mod plate guy. Such is life.... I wonder if I'm going to have more issues tomorrow when they can't find the engine number :p

2 Blitz atmo's. I reckon I could mod them with a bit of mucking about by making some pipe adapters to change them to recircs. I'll get defected if I leave them how they are.

Nah, you have those silly ones mounted to your hardpipes. I like the stock spot better.

Unsure on boost level, I set the gates to ~14psi when I had the engine out but I don't have a boost gauge. Will be putting the eboost street in soon and that reads boost level.

Finally got a proper wheel alignent sorted today. Soooooo much better!

Got it done at Cook's Tyres at Sumner Park, very happy with this guys work and I've taken all my cars there for the last 5 years. Very good pricing too.

Got a new Nistune board in the mail too, so tuning time soon ;)
