For example: Yes, all stock fuel system and piping all the way to the fuel rail. and pushing 401rwkw currently (still with room for movement yet). Put it this way, this particular example is one of our Qld Moderators.
Its not just the fuel lines that you would want to replace, its everything starting from the bulkhead at the tank, right up to the inlets at the rails, filters included. No good having 8an-10an feed lines pumping into 6an bits somewhere up stream. Its not as easy or cheep as people think to do the whole conversion properly, but it's certainly doable.
lol, you posted about my other example of using stock piping for 400+kw example. ...and while he could have still achieved this same figure with stock pump, reg and rail, you are of course safer to upgrade these while in the process. I'm just pointing out that it's achievable on stock. ...But certainly no debates from me that you are better off upgrading while in the process. :zlove:
I said what about sock piping for 400+kw example.? I already know of one car that made 400+rwkw using the stock pipes. (UAS) so its certainly possible. Safety is the only reason I posted the above, I wasn't trying to tell you anything you didn't already know.
Around 450rwkw is pretty much the limit of 8mm fuel line depending on BSFC. But to get there you would need alot of pump, twin 044's will get it there. The stock reg, damper and engine hard lines will get no where near there. They will run out at around 350rwkw ish, once again depending on pump and BSFC.
I had no prob running the 20year old stock fuel setup at my power level .. I believe it will handle more
So do I, but you would be pushing it. I would rather more pump than I need, which is probably why I have an A2000 for mine
HTML: Unfortunatley I have missed out on these 2530's HKS could only provide 3 kits. Thanks to John for the deal he did put together though, the 3 who do get them are going to love these turbos:br:
Yeah, all that oem stuff still in situ. Have a look at Karl's garage, i think there's an engine bay pic in there which shows all the stock fuel line and reg crap all in there. (i get a damned horn every time i see that bay though) lol.
Another option is you could get them through PZP, i saw them post up on their FB page the other day a price of $5400 for the kit......
Yea.... Then sold the other 2 to Kudosmotorsport who then sold them for $3K instead :bash: I wouldn't have had any issue with UAS if not for the fact that I was the first to call and was told it was fine to get my order in a little later in the day. Only reason I didn't send the form in was I just got off a night shift, needed sleep. Woke up few hours later, panicked, sent the form in (about, what, 4 hrs later from the call from memory), and called him to confirm. Said it was fine that I shouldn't worry because I was the first to call him. Then was charged the full amount instead of the deposit, which wasn't John's fault and he apologized but it was an inconvenience. Then to top it off, getting shafted from the kit altogether. HKS may have made the major screw up but in my eyes UAS ain't faultless, at least in my own situation. MoulaZX
Yea but thats an extra $545, and if that is US, tack on possibly a few dollars more, not to mention shipping, so add in a a couple of hundred more. Had I gotten my kit from UAS like I was supposed to... $1986 AUD (3% credit card surcharge) and they're about a 15-20 min drive away from me so no postage cost. On top of all that, isn't the 675RS a bit of a step down from GT2530s? MoulaZX
Hey man I missed at too...but shit happens it was the bargain of 2011!! I in no way have any issue with it as John was polite in his dealings with me regarding the issue.... he certainly didn't not sell them to Kudos for $3k (if that's what you are implying).
Oh no no, I'm not implying UAS sold them off to Kudos. I'm saying probably HKS decided send those 2 last kits to Kudos instead of UAS, thus screwing us over. John was polite with me aswell, what I didn't like was him telling me yea, it was fine and in the end pulling the 'you were one of the last two' card after telling me I was the first to call and that it was fine if I put in my form a little later as I wasn't home yet. I mean it was barely 4 hours later, not like I took a week or longer... And yea I know it was the bargain of 2011, but its always going to piss me off as far as I am concerned, being first in line and still being shafted because of a minor technicality. MoulaZX
