Yer I understand he would replace. But how to organise it as they were bought in a group buy. That was all. If anyone wants any extra pics let me know.
Yeah Coz will do the right thing, do you want to exchange yours? He will send me as many replacements as we need, you send yours back to him. I am going to wait until I get a chance to head to UAS with good camera etc and have a good look at the fittings before I make a decision.
yup i got stung aswell with the copies. truth be told tho they are a good unit and havent leaked so im not worried at all
well mine seem to be good ,,, i don't think i will go to all the trouble and take them out ... they work fine .. still in the car and no leaks .. so i think they are good . to do the job anyway ... do we have any pics of the genuine ones and these copies .. from what i understand its just the fittings is this correct???
Mine aren't in and with all this going on i'd rather the genuine considering that's what I did order. It's like buying a name brand product but getting the no-name instead but still branded as the real one. I mean fair enough if I'd known I was buying the "home brand" so to speak model but were were duped in that aspect and would like to get what I ordered.
Rule of thumb is if fittings sit flush against the rail it is fake. If the fitting sits agains an o ring (between the fitting and the rail) or juts out a little it is the real deal.
i can tell the diff with what clayman shows or what i got .. i do have an oring that goes in the rail then the blue fitting goes on , ( from memory ) but there is an oring .. also the blue fitting does not go all the way in ,,, its out about 3 4 mill ( again from memory ) its been some time now so yeah .. i have a pic on one of my previous post ( up top ) have a look and see if you can see any diff , with that pic .. i cant ...
is 300degree taking legal action? i have never bought from coz, and i probably wont ever buy from him now.
Isn't it the other way around? The real ones don't have O rings and it is the O ring that makes the fitting sit out?
Not quite... it's the way the o rings sit in the rail that is different. There's a good explanation here http://www.300degree.com/hard_parts/fuelrails/counterfeit/
Its a shame to see a total lack of respect from Coz to his Australian customers in not replying here and explaining this Maybe only the U.S gets that treatment :banned:
Maybe who knows, but remember that his main market is US anyway, perhaps he sold only a handful of units here and contacted the members privately? Fact is, many speak highly of COZ, and one stuff up on his behalf surely cannot negate his entire trading history and the reputation he's built? -Kirill
I agree 100%. One stuff up, against countless instances of good service, cheap prices(compared to other sources)and willingness to "go that extra yard". It won't put me off buying from COZ again in the future.:zlove::zlove:
Firstly you treat all customers the same, large or small, thats what maintains your reputation And many businesses have had a whole reputation destroyed by one silly mistake, its how you treat that mistake and rectify it that will keep your customers on side or going elsewhere, thats been proven time and time again ive done thousands of business with coz, there have been many mistakes and a few dramas, but i myself will say i was happy with how he fixed up those problems,i hope he maintains these ethics, time will tell i guess Its the larger markets that will make or break his business, not this forum,so the big U.S market will decide where he ends up personally,i have no dramas using him again, ive been very happy with his service, but on brand name items,i may go direct to the maker
You know what? I reckon the ones COZ made are way less likely to leak than the real ones. The shamfer retains the Oring and it can only be compressed so far and it deforms into the shamfer. Its likely customers will over compress the oring on the 300degree ones making them leak. I would be happy with the coz ones IMO.
