The problem was with the hard lines not working with the originals. Using the copy's was leak free. So its not essential to replace them.

    Suprising knowing Coz

I've never had any probs with him and would still buy from him.

Even if he was 'encouraged' to publically own up, at least he did it - knowing that it will cost him some $ / rep.

The apology was pretty blatant, he didn't try to suger coat it...

Better than some retailers who go into hiding when these sort of problems surface.:)

I have bought many parts from Coz and actually spoke with him by telephone today. None of this will change my feelings about him and his service which has always been excellent.

It's a bit like that minister that got busted for not declaring his Chinese funded travel.

"OOOOPPS I got caught... sorry guys, wont do it again."

I wonder if they weren't caught, would they have continued the same unethical behavior?

It comes down to how professional you are and the value system you hold yourself to.

If you read some of ths posts on TT, some of the guys suspected a while ago he was copying other manufactors products.

Does this cast doubt on his other products? Was that part I bought really OEM? Maybe, Coz has provided a great level of service to the community and I've been happy with my dealings with him to date.

Well, we do know he was called out on in a few months ago and he outright said CZP did not copy a single part. Now we are hearing out these. The date at which he said CZP did not copy a single part was well after the copied parts had been shipped to people which means he did not come clean then and even lied to cover it up. Who really know?!?!?!

Yeah I get that -mine don't leak and I'm not questioning the quality.

I will however be sorely pissed off if I have ordered a particular part, paid for a particular part, been told I am receiving a particular part... but have in fact been duped.

What else has this fraudster copied and deceived customers with ?

Above taken from the TwinTurbo.net thread.

Does this explain why there was a hold up with the updated silicon oil returns for the Z1 kit, does this mean I dont have the genuine Z1 GT600r turbo kit that has been refined over a large number of installs ?

Picked him for a criminal type but no one believed me ... more to come, follow up from his fraudulent behavior with my order to follow.

He has come clean for no other reason then someone has put pressure on him to do so, he would of felt that it was the best damage control he could do, if he thought it would never become public he would never of come clean, this is pure fraud and behavior of an untrustworthy person, he hasn't turned over a new leaf, he will do what is required for him to extract maximum profit, he is a business man with a history of dishonesty, ffs wake up.

I'm sorry honey i screwed your whole football team ... I promise I wont do it again ... as long as you keep giving me money .... LOLOLOL

It sounds like there isn't any issue with the part he sold. If anything it appears there maybe less chances of it leaking due to the addition of o-rings. Seems the issue is you paid for product X but received product Y.

If you have the fuel rail in question, I wouldn't worry about replacing it (unless it's leaking). Perhaps hit Coz up for a credit on your next purchase?

I suspect he would legally have to send replacement parts to those that received the CZP fuel rail rather than the 300 degree version.

Your missing the point, Rob has spent a LOT of time and money designing and putting this car together, he just wants what he paid for, he doesnt want to be wondering if the part is inferior or not, and possibly fail on him causing a fire or what ever, hes doing this for pleasure not to be wondering if he has been ripped off.

The reason a brand is worth something is because it has a track record in performance and quality and reflects an installed base that report known issues with the manufacturer backing up its use and development, copies are commonly inferior because they are made to look the same, rather then from an engineering birth to do a particular job, saying the copy is better and the 300 degree rails is inferior is a slap in the face to the guys that developed it, and at the very least a poor attempt at a let off to the fraudster.

this sort of adds to your dodgy parcel you recieved from him ay... unethical practices going on the up and up?? dunno, but have been skeptical of this bloke in the past from reading TT.net posts, vs aus300zx posts, but this nails it, will nto be buying from him as trust of genuine parts is not longer guaranteed from this vendor

and genuine parts have a warranty.. rip off get nothing, which is how i am assuming that the makers of the 300 degree rails found out there was dodgy ones running around

True. But how many 300zx's have gone up in flames with the CZP fuel rail?

I can appreciate many members are very passionate when it comes to their cars and want everything to be perfect.

I was coming from the perspective that the effort to remove the plenum, get a replacement, fit the injectors, etc when the current rail in place will do the exact same job. My suggestion was to try and use the opportunity to get a credit from Coz for another purchase.

But that's just my opinion and I'll stop posting as this is a bit off topic now...

my understanding is that it IS the original part, just a portion of it was modified with good intentions

so wots the issue given that nobody has said its an inferior product?
if it doesn't leak, and that reason is because it was modified, then why be upset that it was modified?

Sounds like coz fixed something that didn't work, and now it does work

i've bought heaps off coz, and if i need any other parts i won't hesitate to do so again

It's not that the part didn't work. It's that people were using it improperly and then complaining. Coz found a way to make something to get more money, chose to sell it under the 300 Degree name since it was already established and would get more sales than a house name brand, and really never fixed the problem which was operator error from the beginning.
